As a seasoned journalist with years of experience under my belt, I’ve covered my fair share of scandals and controversies. But none have left me as bewildered and saddened as this current debacle surrounding Strictly Come Dancing and the allegations of abuse and bullying towards some of its professional dancers.
On Thursday evening, despite his recent split from Molly Brown, Giovanni Pernice and partner Anton Du Beke bravely performed together during their tour‘s newest show.
I’ve been following the news about my favorite Strictly Come Dancing star and model duo closely. They went through a rough patch earlier this year when they called it quits after only three weeks of dating in February. But just recently, I’ve noticed that they’ve both erased any signs of each other from their social media accounts. It makes me wonder if they’ve given their romance another chance. Only time will tell!
At the event, despite having personal struggles, Giovanni maintained an upbeat demeanor and put on an animated performance for all to see. He even took to Instagram to share a snippet of the moment.
In the video, Anton, a professional dancer aged 57, and he were seen performing together at Baths Hall in Scunthorpe. They both wore suits with a striking design: half black and half white.
Holding Anton close to him with an arm around his shoulders, Giovanni smiled brightly for the photograph, taken in front of the dimly lit theater.

Anton greeted viewers with a cheerful demeanor: “Hello from sunny Scunthorpe! Isn’t it wonderful? We decided to put on a show, unfortunately, though, no one showed up.”
After the lights in the theater went on, the crowd, now fully assembled, started clapping and cheering enthusiastically.
Giovanni and Anton appeared to enjoy themselves as they waved to the crowd and repeatedly said “Thank you” into the camera once more.
After reports surfaced that Italian actor Molly’s relationship with him had ended for a second time, resulting in heated arguments, he seemed resolved to keep his personal troubles out of the spotlight and focus on his work.
According to reliable sources, Giovanni has been dealing with significant stress since his departure from Strictly in May due to allegations of misconduct towards his previous dance partner Amanda Abbington.
After their initial separation and subsequent reconciliation, Giovanni and Molly became extremely close once again.
Their connection has been intense. However, they had another disagreement not long ago, leading to their decision to end things earlier this week.

I’ve noticed how Molly has been a pillar of support for Giovanni during trying times. However, I can’t ignore the fact that he’s been dealing with an overwhelming amount of stress recently, which unfortunately, hasn’t been kind to their relationship. But let me assure you, it’s not out of the question that they might try to rebuild things once the chaos subsides a bit. After all, they have a history of doing just that.
TopMob has contacted a representative for Giovanni Pernice for comment.
In February, the Italian dancer first made their relationship Instagram-official with the model. However, only a few weeks later, TopMob disclosed that they had stopped following each other on Instagram.
While they were momentarily apart, Molly removed a snapshot featuring herself and Giovanni from her social media account. Several weeks later, they reignited their relationship.
An investigation by the BBC is underway following allegations of inappropriate conduct made by Amanda, age 50, and two other previous celebrity companions towards Giovanni. However, he has firmly rejected these accusations against him.
Upon learning that The Mail On Sundays had published news of Giovanni’s request to record their rehearsals, Amanda was filled with fury.
As a lifestyle expert, I understand the importance of transparency and accountability. I want to assure you all that despite recent allegations against me, I remain committed to the truth. My legal team and I are determined to refute any false claims made against me and cooperate fully with the BBC’s investigation to clear my name. I won’t be silenced or “cancelled,” and I look forward to sharing the facts as they come to light.
A beleaguered celebrity retained the services of Schillings, a renowned law firm specializing in high-profile clients, marking an unexpected choice following Amanda and two other women’s decision to hire Carter Ruck instead.

After the BBC didn’t confirm if Rose Ayling-Ellis, Giovanni’s dancing partner, had filed a complaint regarding his conduct during the 2021 competition they both victoried, an incident occurred.
Schillings communicated to the Mail that they are collaborating with BBC studios to share evidence regarding Giovanni and verify his participation in their investigation.
From my passionate perspective as a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel that, just like in every reality TV production, the responsibility of ensuring well-being lies with the producers when crucial choices need to be made. Personally speaking, Giovanni is unwaveringly dedicated to proving his innocence and safeguarding his reputation against the allegations hurled against him.
Some people interpret the action as a declaration of “conflict” following Amanda’s assertion that Giovanni allegedly stamped on her foot, leaving her with bruises.
Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore from Good Morning Britain, who are in a relationship with Amanda Holden’s partner Giovanni, had a conversation with Amanda about their personal stories.
Last week, I was shocked when when Graziano Di Prima, the dancer I adore on the show, was suddenly let go. He’s only 30 years old, and just before his dismissal, there were allegations about his behavior towards his celebrity partner Zara McDermott during the previous series. I couldn’t believe it – the sweet, graceful dancer I idolized could have been involved in such disturbing reports of verbal and physical abuse. It left me feeling disillusioned and saddened.
On Wednesday, the scandal grew deeper when old recordings surfaced in which James Jordan, a former professional dancer, was heard threatening to drag his dance partner roughly across the floor and yell at her if she made mistakes.
In 2006, during the filming of the fourth series, there is a clip available that captures him practicing scenes with actress Georgina Bouzova.

He similarly tells her, “I want you to hurt yourself,” as he makes her balance on only one leg and becomes unconcerned if she hasn’t actually cracked a rib, disregarding any pain she might be experiencing. Furthermore, he is caught on camera flinging a chair throughout the training facility.
James, a regular on Strictly from 2004 to 2012 with a total of eight seasons under his belt, imposed certain dietary restrictions on Georgina during their grocery outings. Previously known for her role in Casualty, Georgina was only allowed to purchase pineapple and ham when the duo went shopping. Sweet and chocolate treats were off the table.
After the clip from It Takes Two, Strictly’s spin-off show, was brought up once again, James responded with great anger.
The ballroom dancer and choreographer criticized the BBC strongly, stating that most of the shown footage had no connection to Georgina whatsoever.
He commented on Instagram, “The video I shared is heavily edited for amusement and significantly amplified.”
I firmly believe that the rumors and allegations against him don’t even come close to tarnishing the brilliance of “VT”. For eight long years, none of my renowned co-stars ever voiced a single complaint about me on set.
On Tuesday night, it came to light that a third dancer on the show is being looked into more closely as a potential suspect regarding the accusations of mistreatment and harassment.
It has been alleged that the BBC ignored complaints about Graziano’s conduct during the production of the show, despite crew members voicing concerns and no corrective measures being implemented.

According to sources close to the situation, it seems that there may be a larger problem emerging regarding the behavior of certain trainers within the profession.
‘The more people who come forward, the clearer the picture is becoming.’
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that BBC officials have decided to take extra measures to enhance the welfare and assistance offered behind the scenes of our beloved show.
During rehearsals in the training room, a representative from the production crew is now required to be present. Additionally, there are more resources made available for both famed competitors and skilled dancers.
Two new roles will be filled: a Celebrity Welfare Coordinator and a Professional Dancer Welfare Coordinator, who will take on additional responsibilities. Moreover, the production team and staff will receive extra coaching.
