Gino D’Acampo’s Shocking Betrayal: Will He Bounce Back After ITV Scandal?

According to Gino D’Acampo, he is deeply saddened and upset by the accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior that have been levied against him.

The well-known Italian chef, aged 48, is facing numerous accusations of sexually improper and threatening conduct spanning a 12-year timeframe – allegations that he refutes.

Amidst the controversy swirling around him, a source revealed to TopMob that Gino is planning to have his legal team vigorously defend him against the accusations, using all necessary means, as he prepares for a battle to establish his innocence.

The embattled television personality maintains his innocence to confidants, expressing faith that he can maintain his career.

According to the latest updates, ITV has taken Gino’s shows off their schedule. However, it’s been reported that he has sworn not to collaborate with ITV in the future.

Gino is also set to ‘jet to the US later next week to work on a TV project’.

ITV News uncovered numerous claims of inappropriate behavior directed at a TV chef on shows he was involved in. Those leveling these allegations characterized his actions as unacceptable and upsetting, as reported by ITV.

As reported by ITV News, it seems that at least one television production company was made aware of recurring concerns regarding Gino’s behavior from their staff, but they still chose to collaborate with him on additional TV productions.

On Friday, ITV pulled all of Gino’s shows from its upcoming schedules, TopMob revealed.

In a magazine shoot back in 2011, a woman, identified as Hannah, recounted an unsettling incident that occurred.

According to her account, Gino openly made a sexually suggestive remark in front of his team, stating that he wanted to have intimate relations with her on the kitchen counter from behind, which left her feeling embarrassed and humiliated.

She reminisced about the gentle echo of laughter, while some appeared uneasy, peering tentatively into their teacups.

Hannah expressed that the event caused her profound fear and astonishment, yet she wasn’t taken aback that nobody stepped in.

Gino has firmly denied all allegations, calling them ‘deeply upsetting’.

His lawyers stated: ‘The claim, which dates back nearly 15 years, has never previously been brought up or presented to Mr D’Acampo. He does not remember it and denies its occurrence.’

A lady identified as Natalie narrated an unnerving incident during her discussion with Gino, prior to a location photo session.

‘He opened the door in his boxer shorts, nothing else,’ she claimed. 

Later, he leaped onto the mattress, raised one knee and humorously implied the dimensions of his personal areas, using jest to exaggerate their size.

Natasha expressed a sense of strong disapproval, accusing the TV cook of misusing his authority for inappropriate behavior.

According to Gino’s lawyers, the account of events presented is being disputed. They claim that as far as they are aware, no accusations relating to ‘Gino’s Italian Express’ have been leveled against Gino.

It’s only now, after six years, that he’s learned about these supposed occurrences. He unequivocally refutes them.

According to a previous coworker’s assertion, Gino is said to have confronted a young team member forcefully regarding an ice cream incident back in 2019.

In ITV News, it was reported that a woman stated she overheard Gino making a threat to a runner: “If you don’t bring me an ice cream (specifically a Cornetto), I will harm your girlfriend.

Another crew member who witnessed the incident said the remark had ‘stuck in my head for years’. 

‘He was using his power to bully and intimidate us,’ she said. ‘For what? A cookery programme.’

Gino’s representatives stated that he was deeply embarrassed by the allegation and has no memory of this specific event whatsoever.

A separate claim relates to the filming of Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip in 2018.

A fellow team member asserted that Gino uttered an inappropriate remark concerning a female teammate’s bust, supposedly stating something along the lines of: “He is said to have joked about her breasts.

‘Shouldn’t we be talking about her t**? They’re perfect, like a mouthful.’

It’s come to light that Objective Media Group, producers of Gordon, Gino and Fred, had already received concerns about Gino by as far back as 2018.

A woman employed at Gino’s Italian Express shared with ITV News that his charming and playful demeanor enables him to blend seamlessly among people. Whenever I spot him on television, I feel compelled to step away from the room.

According to his legal team, no one has ever brought such allegations directly against Mr. D’Acampo. He claims he doesn’t remember making these statements and denies that they were said by him.

ITV News obtained emails dated back to December 2024, which allegedly indicate that worries about Gino’s conduct had been expressed to Objective Media Group.

In response, it was acknowledged by the company that there had been discussions regarding his behavior outside of work, and specialized training was given to him as a result.

ITV explicitly stated: ‘Such conduct is not acceptable to us at ITV.’

Due to ongoing queries regarding past complaint management by ITV and their associated production firms, the future of Gino’s television profession hangs in the balance.

For now, the TV presenter insists he has been unfairly accused. 

In response to claims made against him, Gino D’Acampo told ITV News that he has been informed by ITN that accusations exist concerning his behavior being unacceptable, with some incidents happening more than a decade ago.

I wasn’t informed about these issues before, and I categorically reject the accusations. I strive to act in a way that wouldn’t cause pain or discomfort to others. Such actions are not aligned with my character. The account presented to me seems unfamiliar.

Besides being unaccused of such claims up until now, I’ve consistently received backing from top-tier executives and even had opportunities to appear on popular primetime shows—all during the timeframe when it’s now insinuated that I acted improperly.

As a dad, spouse, and professional with more than 1,500 collaborators across approximately 80 projects throughout my career, I’ve felt immense pride in my accomplishments. Any insinuation that I may have behaved inappropriately is not only distressing but also unfounded. I treat all matters with utmost gravity and seriousness.
