Gino D’Acampo’s Secret Plan to Save His Career Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations
Yesterday, with a serious demeanor and donning dark sunglasses, Gino D’Acampo appeared quite different from his usual “playful guy” image during an uncommon public appearance.
Apart from a handful of Instagram updates, such as the one featuring his buddy Fred Sirieux yesterday, it seems that the chef, embroiled in allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior back in February, has been maintaining a rather quiet presence online.
However, making his first appearance in public upon his return from Italy to his residence in Hertfordshire yesterday, this 48-year-old individual reportedly stands firm against being drawn into a “witch hunt.” Instead, he is determined to reclaim his career in any way that he can.
It has been disclosed that D’Acampo, who is the father of Luciano (age 23), currently managed by his son, has reached out to several public relations professionals in hopes of securing their representation.
The task proved challenging for him, and his proposals were rejected by a minimum of two parties, which caused great frustration among D’Acampo’s legal advisors.
The task wasn’t simple, and he faced rejection from at least two entities, leading to strong displeasure among D’Acampo’s legal team.
He’s recently hired a relatively unknown crisis management team based in London, who confidentially shared with me that they believe the chef will be cleared of any wrongdoing.
It appears that the father of three is gearing up for a confrontation. I’ve been informed that he doesn’t want to be blamed for others’ mistakes and is accusing television networks such as ITV, who provided him with his major breakthrough on talk show This Morning and game show Family Fortunes.
‘Gino believes he is the fall guy, the scapegoat, if you like,’ says one source close to him.
ITV appreciated his playful demeanor immensely. For over a decade, he entertained them with his antics, and they adored him during that time. He was known for his witty remarks on Family Fortunes, and even the mishaps caught on camera during This Morning were cherished by ITV and its audience.
Indeed, it seems he’s quite upset about the situation. It makes one ponder if ITV benefited from it, only to distance themselves now, as shown by their decision to let him go.
Gino firmly insists that he didn’t do anything major, and much of what happened was typical, light-hearted antics common in the TV business. He’s determined to get his career back on track.

That won’t be easy given the string of allegations he now faces.
In March of 2023, I brought the issue to light when I reported suspicions to ITV regarding claims that D’Acampo inappropriately touched a female producer and questioned another about her personal life during the filming of the ITV cookery show Road Trip, alongside Sirieix and Gordon Ramsay.
It was also reported that he had inappropriate behavior, such as exposing himself and being challenging to collaborate with, which led multiple staff members to lodge complaints with ITV. I discovered in December that the network executives had called for a meeting with his supervisor to address his conduct.
After about two months, an exposé by ITV News surfaced, revealing numerous accusations of sexually inappropriate conduct and bullying behavior.
Many individuals have labeled his reported behavior spanning the last 12 years as ‘troubling,’ ‘inappropriate,’ and in some cases, ‘abominable.’

It appears that, despite recurring concerns about D’Acampo’s behavior expressed by employees, the production company persisted in collaborating with him for more television ventures.
A woman identified as Hannah asserts that during a magazine project in 2011, she was present when he allegedly made suggestive comments toward her. Specifically, she states that amidst a group of colleagues, he reportedly said, “I’d like to flip you over and have my way with you on the kitchen counter.
She remembered a ‘wave of amusement’ as others seemed ‘apprehensive, gazing into their teacups’, mentioning that she experienced both ‘fear’ and ‘astonishment’. Yet, she asserted she wasn’t taken aback that no one stepped in to help.
For over two decades, D’Acampo, who is married to his British-Italian spouse, Jessica Stellina Morrison, has emphatically dismissed all the ‘very troubling’ accusations.
Although not everyone feels compassion towards D’Acampo, his friends point out that he hasn’t encountered any police accusations. They argue: “If you examine the claims made against him, there’s nothing criminal. However, he’s being dealt with as if he had violated the law.
Quite whether a comeback is likely remains unknown.
However, when he uploaded an Instagram video featuring himself and Sirieix yesterday, both enjoying a bottle of wine in the context of Fred’s weekly wine club on various social media platforms, it sparked curiosity: Was there any particular occasion or event that warranted such celebration?
