Gino D’Acampo’s Explosive Comeback: Ramsay’s Smear Campaign Exposed!

On Wednesday, Gino D’Acampo made a sudden appearance on Instagram, much like The Kinks’ song “All Day and All of the Night” suggests. In this video, the embattled chef unveiled his newest cookbook and announced he was going to prepare fish for his followers.

According to what I’ve been informed, this signifies the start of a vigorous response from a 48-year-old individual, who is reacting after being accused of inappropriate sexual conduct and intimidation.

This indicates that a 48-year-old person is now taking action following a series of accusations about inappropriate sexual behavior and bullying.

Following the termination of his partnership with ITV, who had aired his programs for over a decade, he now intends to communicate personally with his fans. And, from what I gather, he’s not planning on remaining silent for much longer. As one friend put it, “He flatly refuses to be silenced.

Indeed, D’Acampo is so upset about the controversy that he’s enlisted a prominent crisis management team from London to aid him in restoring his professional reputation and share his perspective on the matter.

Revelations that begin, perhaps, with his former co-star and fellow cook, Gordon Ramsay.

During their extended stint on the Road Trip program alongside French maître d’ Fred Sirieux, the duo shared a strong friendship – that is, until Chris D’Acampo departed in 2023 over issues related to contract matters.

Lately, reports have surfaced indicating that Ramsay expressed apprehensions regarding D’Acampo’s conduct during filming, which may have led to his exit following four series.

This situation has caused D’Acampo to become intensely angry, according to his friends, who allege that he has fallen victim to a malicious smear campaign masterminded by Ramsay (aged 58) and his British culinary production company, who produced the show.

A source near D’Acampo shared with me that it’s evidently understood he received instructions from a specific production studio.

There’s been plenty of news about his experiences with Gordon Ramsay, and it seems quite unfavorable towards Gino. They appeared to be colleagues and close friends one moment, then suddenly, after parting ways on the Road Trip series, their relationship soured significantly within a couple of years.

But it is not just Ramsay whom D’Acampo feels betrayed by.

It appears that people around him suggest it was ITV, known for programs like This Morning and Family Fortunes, who motivated him to portray the charming, flirtatious persona that won over audiences.

According to a companion, Gino acted in a mischievous way. However, understanding why he behaved this way is perplexing to him, and he intends to clarify this when he feels it’s appropriate to express himself.

He often made playful remarks during his time on Family Feud. On the set of This Morning, there have been moments that caught the attention of both cameras and viewers, like the time he playfully kissed presenter Ruth [Langsford] in 2011, which was well-received by ITV and its audience.

Indeed, it appears that he is quite resentful about the situation. One might ponder if ITV benefited significantly from these events and now they seem to be distancing themselves from it all by dismissing him.

According to my source, it could be that the financial reward was the reason behind the network’s persistent support for D’Acampo, despite the scandal involving Philip Schofield and his relationship with a younger colleague, which occurred two years ago and caused quite a stir within the network.

A friend of the three children’s father comments: ‘It seems like ITV realized they had a specific image for him in mind, but things didn’t go as planned and it backfired on them instead.’

Undeniably, he’s experienced a significant decline in his reputation. Once charming and popular, he rose to fame as a star on ITV following his debut on This Morning back in 2009.

However, ITV News recently conducted an investigation and spoke with numerous individuals who characterized his behavior spanning over 13 years as distressing, unacceptable, and at times, horrific.

It is claimed that one television production company received multiple complaints from employees regarding D’Acampo’s behavior, but still chose to collaborate with him on additional television productions.

In 2011, during a photo shoot, a woman identified as Hannah asserted that he made an explicit and uncomfortable proposition to her, stating he wanted to have sex with her anally on the kitchen counter in full view of the entire crew. She remembered a wave of laughter from the group, while some members seemed uneasy, looking tentatively at their cups of tea.

Hannah mentioned that the event caused a mix of fear and astonishment within her, yet she acknowledged that it didn’t come as a surprise to her when nobody stepped in to help.

Back in March 2023, I was the one who initially brought attention to the issue involving D’Acampo. I shared concerns with ITV regarding accusations that he had inappropriately approached a female producer by thrusting his groin at her, and also inquired about another woman’s personal life related to sex during the filming of Road Trip.

Additionally, it was claimed that he frequently displayed inappropriate behavior by exposing himself, and found it extremely challenging to collaborate with him, leading to multiple staff members voicing their concerns to ITV.

In December of the previous year, it was revealed to me that the heads of the channel had called for a discussion about D’Acampo’s behavior with his former manager, having convened a meeting for this purpose.

However, the network had been collaborating with him until recently, when it decided to terminate a set of Family Fortunes shows following the allegations. In a released statement, a representative from the broadcaster commented: ‘All the issues and complaints voiced by those who have communicated with ITN [ITV News producer] detail conduct that is deemed inappropriate and unsuitable.’

A large majority of these cases weren’t disclosed to ITV initially. Whenever concerns have been brought up with ITV, appropriate steps have been taken in response.

Since 2002, D’Acampo has been married to Jessica Stellina Morrison and he has strongly refuted all the accusations made against him.

My friend contends that, upon examination, nothing illegal appears to have occurred. However, his treatment suggests he’s being handled as if he had violated some law.

Gino insists that what he did wasn’t anything major, more like casual mischief that’s common in TV production. He strongly desires to return to his career.

It’s possible, but I have concerns that offering just a few fish recipes might not be enough to impress his followers or the television producers.
