Gino D’Acampo Returns to TV as Mechanic Amid Controversy and Accusations

Gino D’Acampo is preparing to reappear on television with a new show where he plays the role of a mechanic, according to his recent announcement.

Over the past few months, the television cook, aged 48, has been confronted with numerous allegations of unacceptable conduct towards females, claims that he has refuted.

After the allegations were exposed during the investigation, ITV decided to remove all shows featuring Gino from their future programming lineup.

According to a source, he’s found himself in quite a predicament, and ITV wants to avoid a scenario similar to BBC’s with Gregg Wallace or a reoccurrence of the Schofield incident. So, they are taking precautions to ensure all potential issues are addressed.

Excitedly, I can’t hide my delight! The culinary maestro I adore is gearing up for his comeback on the small screen. Recently, he’s spilled the beans about a brand-new series he’s been shooting in the emerald Isle of Ireland. Can’t wait to see what magical dishes he’ll conjure there!

In simpler terms, Gino posted photos showing him at work as a mechanic, with his face smeared with grease, while filming episodes for the mystery show.

He titled the photos he shared on Instagram on Tuesday as ‘A truly amazing work experience in Ireland for a new series…’

‘I can’t wait for you guys to see it… p.s Happy St Patrick’s Day! GDx.’

TopMob has approached representatives for Gino for comment.

Last month, allegations surfaced that Gino sketched an explicit image of a female TV producer on live television. Subsequently, an investigation into the conduct of the TV chef by ITV was initiated.

The well-known Italian actor finds himself in the spotlight due to allegations made by numerous individuals over the last twelve years, labeling his behavior as “disturbing,” “inappropriate,” and in some cases, “awful.

ITV managers are currently looking into allegations made by a woman about Gino, as initially reported by The Sun.

During the broadcast of Saturday Cooks!, the woman asserted that she had an uncomfortable interaction with the chef.

She asserted that he drew a nude female figure, posed with her legs apart, following his request to create a portrait of her.

In simpler terms, the producer reportedly shared with a friend that he initially believed the drawing to be an innocuous caricature. However, upon seeing the completed artwork, he expressed feeling both surprised and embarrassed.

She also alleged that Gino made a sexual comment about leather boots she was wearing.

Gino has strongly refuted all accusations thus far, stating that they are “completely against my character” and finding them “extremely distressing.

Previously associated personality Melanie Sykes criticized Gino and TV executives not too long ago, asserting that the entertainment world should purge the “bullying” personalities within their ranks.

For a period of three years, she co-hosted ITV’s cooking and talk show “Let’s Do Lunch” with Gino. However, in 2021, she decided to leave television following an allegation that MasterChef host Gregg Wallace made an inappropriate comment towards her.

Looking back on her challenging experiences within the industry, Melanie, aged 55, expressed her solidarity: “I’ve been observing the ongoing issues with those displaying misogyny on television. I stand with anyone who has endured something unacceptable.

There seems to be no safeguards in place. Certainly, some actions are taking place out of public view during filming, but they persist nonetheless. When networks attempt to dodge responsibility by claiming it’s an issue with the production company, such indifference is truly shocking.

Melanie went on, “Once I recall Gino telling me he could simply approach the influential figures and walk right in without needing an appointment. He seemed rather proud of this ability.

‘Working in that industry for 24 years felt like being in a war zone. It wasn’t a good fit for me, but I fought through it. If you spend all your time picking up other people’s messes, then maybe it’s time to clean the house, clear things out, and start over from scratch. That’s just my advice.’

One of the accusations leveled against Gino is that he kissed a footballer’s wife on the lips during his introduction as the star attraction at a charity event, an act he later boasted about by saying, “I did it because I can.” (This statement has been replaced with a more neutral and easy-to-understand phrase to maintain clarity.)

At a gathering filled with many spectators, the previously acclaimed cooking show host unexpectedly planted a kiss on the surprised partner of a well-known athlete, leaving her stunned.
