Ginny & Georgia star lands exciting lead movie role

As a die-hard fan of gripping thrillers and captivating performances, I am absolutely thrilled to learn about Felix Mallard’s new venture into the world of feature films with “Nest.” Having followed his career since his days on Neighbours and Locke & Key, it’s incredible to witness this talented actor take on a lead role in such an intriguing project.

Ginny & Georgia star Felix Mallard has landed his next lead movie role.

The actor has gained recognition for portraying Marcus Baker in the popular Netflix show, set to debut its third season next year.

As reported by Deadline, Mallard will appear in the upcoming thriller titled “Nest.” This story revolves around a family living at home who are subjected to a harrowing ordeal when they encounter a dangerous and lethal arachnid species.

In a new role, the previous star of both “Locke & Key” and “Neighbors” takes on the part of Remy, a novice parent eager to establish a strong foundation in the newly-moved-into home shared with his daughter Zoe and wife Grace.

Typically, Grace is occupied with work, causing Remy to take on the responsibilities of raising the newborn and making their recently acquired abode feel like home. However, he quickly realizes that there are other inhabitants within the dwelling who aren’t particularly welcoming towards the newcomers.

In a unique production, Remy is destined to cross paths with a colossal female spider, the queen bee of her web home, crafted using puppetry, computer-generated imagery (CGI), and supplementary visual enhancements.

Additional cast details will be announced in due course.

The screenplay for “Nest” was penned by Guy Edmonds, with valuable input from script consultant Daina Reid, renowned for her work on “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Edmonds is also set to direct this project, marking his first time in a feature directorial role.

Edmonds stated, “For any parent, Nest is their greatest fear. It’s like an unwanted intrusion in one’s home, but instead of burglars, it’s a swarm of spiders taking over the house! The story becomes a desperate struggle to protect their child.

In the recent past, Mallard appeared in a romantic drama titled “Turtles All the Way Down“, which is the film version of John Green’s book with the same name.

In September, he shared exciting news about “Ginny & Georgia” on his Instagram, announcing that they had completed filming for season three and posted some nostalgic snippets and images as a teaser.

The caption reads, “We’ve finished filming Season 3 of ‘Ginny & Georgia’. It’s a mix of joy and worry, triumph masked by uncertainty.

“I’m deeply thankful for the lengthy, tireless effort I’ve put in alongside these wonderful individuals. I’m equally eager for everyone to witness the progress we’ve made since season 2.

Ginny & Georgia seasons 1-2 are now available to watch on Netflix.
