Ginny & Georgia Season 3: 10 Secrets You Must Remember Before Watching

Get ready for the highly-anticipated return of Ginny & Georgia on June 5, 2025, as season 3 is almost upon us! This Netflix hit series initially debuted back in 2021, followed by season 2 in 2023. Given this pattern, we can expect the third season to drop next year. In-story timeline, though, Georgia and her kids have been living in Wellsbury for a brief period of time—but quite a bit has unfolded during their short stay.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my enthusiasm for Netflix’s “Ginny & Georgia.” This dynamic duo, Ginny and Georgia, are anything but typical. Georgia Miller is a formidable character who leaves an indelible impact, yet her past secrets and questionable dealings with the law have a profound effect on Ginny.

In this engrossing series, Ginny finds herself torn between her deep-seated love for her mother and her desire to carve out her own identity, separate from Georgia’s missteps. The upcoming third season of “Ginny & Georgia” promises a climactic confrontation, but there are many other intriguing aspects to anticipate before the premiere.

10. Georgia Murdered Her First Husband (But It Was An Accident)

This First Murder Will Probably Come Back To Bite Georgia

A major aspect of the storyline for “Ginny & Georgia” centers around Georgia’s tumultuous past. Despite escaping the home where she suffered sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather, Georgia continued to face hardships throughout her life. At one stage, Georgia found herself in New Orleans managing an illicit gambling operation. When Ginny was taken away from her care, Georgia’s only option for escape was to marry Anthony Greene.

Georgia found herself in a tricky situation at home with Anthony, who wasn’t outright cruel but exploited her vulnerable state. In a bid to break free, she secretly gave him some pills she believed would make him unconscious. Unfortunately, these pills led to his demise. It was an unintended tragedy, and Georgia knew she couldn’t involve the authorities. Instead, she turned to her motorcycle gang associates for help in concealing the crime. Over the years, few suspected Georgia of wrongdoing.

9. Georgia Murdered Her Second Husband (On Purpose)

Kenny’s Death Quickly Put The Heat On Georgia

In the show “Ginny & Georgia,” it’s clear that Georgia didn’t accidentally cause her second husband’s death, unlike perhaps her first. At the start of the series on Netflix, Kenny Drexel, a wealthy entrepreneur who owned a yoga studio chain, was believed to have died from a heart attack. However, it quickly becomes evident that Georgia showed little concern over his demise. As the story unfolds, we discover the reason for her indifference.

Kenny started behaving improperly towards Ginny, placing his hands on her thigh and waist despite her repeated requests for him to stop. Witnessing this, Georgia was reminded of her own past. Her mother had failed to prevent her father from mistreating Georgia, and Georgia vowed not to let the same happen to her own child. She mixed some wolfsbane flower petals into Kenny’s smoothie, ultimately leading to his heart attack.

8. Private Investigator Gabriel Cordova Has Been After Georgia For 2 Seasons

Gabriel Nearly Gave Up On Georgia’s Case In Season 2

Without P.I. Gabriel Cordova’s involvement, it probably wouldn’t have been suspected that Georgia was responsible for Kenny’s death. Hired by Kenny’s ex-wife due to her anger over Georgia inheriting Kenny’s fortune, Cordova disguised himself as “Jesse” and started courting Georgia’s coworker, Nick, in Wellsbury, Massachusetts, where he kept tabs on Georgia and her family.

In the first two seasons of the series “Ginny & Georgia”, Gabriel constantly caused trouble for Georgia. It was due to this man that Ginny discovered her mother was a murderer, which greatly affected the young girl. By the end of season 2, Gabriel was considering abandoning the investigation and returning to Texas. However, the death of Tom Fuller turned everything upside down.

7. Georgia First Met Joe When She Was 15 (& He Gave Her His Sunglasses)

There’s A Long-Running Connection Here

Joe is the proprietor of Wellsbury’s Blue Farm Cafe, which is where Ginny is employed. But his association with Georgia extends far beyond just being the owner of the restaurant; it was actually him who initially inspired Georgia to think about moving to Wellsbury. Their friendship dates back to when Georgia was 15 and found out she was pregnant. During that time, a kind-hearted Joe offered her a sandwich. After they shared stories about a horse named Milkshake, Joe generously presented her with a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses.

In the TV show “Ginny & Georgia,” Joe has always been deeply smitten with Georgia, but she’s never reciprocated his feelings. Despite this, Joe’s affection for Georgia remains unwavering throughout the first two seasons. However, when it came time for her wedding, Joe set aside his own emotions, loaned his horse to Georgia, and chose to be there as a friend instead.

6. Zion & Georgia Have An On-Again-Off-Again Relationship

Zion Will Never Really Be Over Georgia

In the television series “Ginny & Georgia,” Zion, Ginny’s father, has never truly moved on from Georgia. They first crossed paths when they were both teenagers, and when Georgia discovered she was pregnant, Zion’s parents were ready to take care of the child. This sudden prospect scared Georgia, causing her to flee without a trace. Despite their reunion later, Zion shared Georgia’s restless spirit, finding it difficult to settle down.

In my professional opinion as a film critic, I must say that the on-again, off-again romance between Georgia and Zion has been a rollercoaster ride spanning years. Their latest separation took place in the first season of “Ginny & Georgia.” Just before Paul popped the question, they parted ways. However, as we wrap up season 2, it appears that Zion is becoming increasingly involved with a woman named Simone, suggesting a deepening relationship. Yet, their past love story leaves no doubt that Zion harbors profound feelings for Georgia and these feelings may never truly fade away.

5. Austin Shot Gil In The Arm & Georgia & Ginny Covered It Up

Gil Was Dealt With (Temporarily)

In the second season of “Ginny & Georgia,” Austin’s father, Gil, made a significant comeback. Throughout most of the series, we were only aware that he was serving time for embezzlement. However, upon his arrival in Wellsbury, it became clear that the story was more complex than initially thought. It turned out that while Gil had indeed been stealing money from clients, he was apprehended because Georgia withdrew a slightly larger amount of funds than would typically go unnoticed, thereby implicating her boyfriend.

In line with what is usually seen in Georgia’s situation, she took this action because she believed it was her only means of escape. Gil was a very cruel individual who had grown increasingly abusive towards Georgia. Upon his release from prison, the abuse resumed. To shield his mother from further harm, Austin seized Georgia’s firearm and fired at his father, wounding him in the arm. Georgia and Ginny collaborated to hide the incident, and eventually, Paul managed to ensure that Gil could no longer threaten Georgia with blackmail.

4. Ginny & Marcus Broke Up In Ginny & Georgia Season 2

Their Romance Is On Pause

In the first season of “Ginny & Georgia,” Ginny and Marcus were caught up in a will-they-won’t-they dynamic. However, they found a measure of contentment together in season 2. Ginny experienced security and affection in her relationship, which helped her find some happiness despite the turmoil in her family life. Unfortunately, Marcus encountered a period of depression during “Ginny & Georgia” season 2. Although he continued to care for Ginny deeply, he started questioning whether it was suitable for him to be in a relationship at that time.

In the series ‘Ginny & Georgia’, Ginny felt devastated when Marcus ended their relationship. She thought he no longer cared for her, however, Max clarified that this emotional state was nothing new for Marcus’s brother. It dawned on Ginny that Marcus required a friend rather than a girlfriend, and she decided to just be there for him as a friend. Marcus reciprocated this sentiment, opting to attend Georgia’s wedding to stand by Ginny as her companion. Although it appears they still have feelings for each other in ‘Ginny & Georgia’, the future of their relationship remains uncertain in season 3.

3. Ginny’s Friends Are All Having A Tough Time Too

There’s A Lot Happening Behind The Scenes

In the series Ginny & Georgia, it’s not just Ginny and Marcus dealing with family issues, emotional turmoil, or complicated relationships. From the start, Maxine has been searching for love, only to endure a painful split from her girlfriend Sophie in season 1. However, things seem to be looking up for Max in season 2. Following a successful stage performance, she’s found herself in a budding romance with the show’s costume designer, Silver. Meanwhile, Ginny’s friend Bracia has also had some good news – she managed to secure a date with the boy she likes, Bryon.

Abby, a character from the series Ginny and Georgia, is facing some challenging times due to her parents’ contentious divorce. Last season, we noticed signs of self-harm as Abby started using duct tape on her thighs to alter her body shape. In the second season of the show, this issue has developed into an eating disorder, which her friends are unaware of so far.

2. Georgia Told Paul The Truth (Mostly) & He Married Her Anyway

Paul Accepted Her For Who She Is

Gil arrived at Wellsbury with plans to extort Georgia, which ultimately resulted in him being shot. This incident prompted Georgia to conceal the truth. As Gil threatened to reveal everything to Paul, Georgia grew increasingly fearful. With her back against the wall, Georgia typically takes every measure possible to free herself from such situations.

Given the circumstances, it’s no wonder Georgia started thinking about departing from town. She felt the game was over, and a fresh start seemed necessary. Yet, Ginny managed to persuade her mother to disclose the truth concerning her past (excluding the murders) to Paul. Georgia followed Ginny’s advice, and surprisingly, Paul agreed to marry her despite this revelation. He was upset and took certain actions to deal with Gil. However, he chose to accept Georgia for her imperfections, acknowledging that she was a complex individual.

1. Georgia Was Arrested At Her Wedding For The Murder Of Tom Fuller

Austin Saw His Mother Commit The Crime

In the second season finale of “Ginny & Georgia,” an unexpected turn of events occurred at Georgia’s wedding reception – she got arrested. Just before her wedding, Georgia made a thoughtless decision. She visited Cynthia Fuller’s house to fetch Austin and found herself moved by Cynthia’s plight concerning her husband, Tom. Despite being on hospice for several months, Tom defied expectations and remained alive, albeit in a comatose state.

Georgia secretly showed gratitude to Chloe (Cythia) for helping her prevent Gil from obtaining an apartment in Wellsbury, by killing Tom, which she had disguised as a gift. This act was hidden from everyone, but Nick accidentally revealed to Gabriel that Georgia was present when Tom passed away. This revelation made the private investigator suspicious and he informed the police. The officers arrived during Georgia’s wedding ceremony, taking her away in a patrol car. To add insult to injury, Austin witnessed Georgia murder Tom, making his situation even more heartbreaking as we move into season 3 of Ginny & Georgia.
