Gina Rodriguez reveals pregnancy as she debuts baby No 2 bump on red carpet with husband
Gina Rodriguez and her husband Joe LoCicero are expecting their second child.
At a glamorous event on July 11, hosting Netflix’s Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 boxing match at Madison Square Garden, Jane the Virgin star proudly announced some exciting news, gracing the red carpet with her striking presence.
She showed off her baby bump in a striking black floral dress.
At the occasion, Joe, who tied the knot with Gina in May 2019, affectionately placed an arm around her and lightly touched her abdomen, radiating happiness.
On the next morning, she posted another picture on Instagram, this time showing herself in pajamas while holding her growing belly.
‘Baby girl coming thru!!! We are so excited for you lil mama,’ she captioned the snap.
This announcement comes just over two years after the couple welcomed their first son, Charlie.
In 2016, the actress and LoCicero started dating following their first encounter on the set of “Jane The Virgin.” They eventually got married in 2019.
In July of 2022, the performer and her spouse announced their intention to begin a family.
Rodriguez went on to give birth to Charlie Ray in February of 2023.
On occasion, the baby is included in pictures and clips that have been uploaded to her Instagram profile.
In a chat with People, the actress revealed the reason behind naming her newborn son Charlie Ray.
In the course of the interview, Rodriguez shared that she named her newborn son after several departed relatives.
The Jane The Virgin star stated: ‘Charlie holds a lot of beautiful ancestors in his name.’
Apart from her artistic endeavors, the performer mentioned that she has fully taken on her responsibilities as a mother. In essence, she said: “I feel like I’m in a state of blissful contentment, almost like being in newborn paradise.
Rodriguez went on to describe how quickly her newborn son had been growing.
She remarked that he is constantly growing and changing each day. What was once him avoiding eye contact and not smiling, is now him engaging in eye contact and showing smiles.
The actress added: ‘He’s so freaking adorable, and you just want to eat him up.’
