Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham’s Christmas movie gets new trailer

As a long-time fan of heartwarming comedies and a devotee of Lauren Graham’s acting prowess, this news about “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” has filled my holiday season with anticipation! After a hiatus of eight years, it’s a joy to see Lauren back in the limelight with such an endearing role.

The extended trailer for Lauren Graham’s Christmas-themed comedy has been released, with the film set to hit cinemas in November.

Under the guidance of Dallas Jenkins, the movie titled “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” is a cinematic interpretation based on Barbara Robinson’s beloved children’s book by the same name.

The Gilmore Girls star is set to play the film’s narrator, who’s also making a special appearance.

As Christmas approaches, the story unfolds around a local town’s traditional pageant, which is thrown into chaos when six unruly and notorious children, often referred to as the Herdmans, offer themselves for the main roles. These kids are infamous for their mischief and have earned the title of “the worst kids in the world.

Grace Bradley, played by Judy Greer, and her husband Bob Bradley, acted by Pete Holmes, oversee the organization of the pageant. However, it falls on Grace’s shoulders as the director to persuade the town to accept the Herdmans into the production, despite initial resistance.

Lionsgate is releasing the movie in the US on November 8, with a UK release date to be announced.

In the last eight years, Graham has landed his first significant movie part since the 2016 comedy “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life,” with “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” being the film in question.

Regarding the pivotal part our star is playing, producer Kevin Downes expressed: “For a quarter of a century, we’ve admired Lauren immensely and longed to collaborate with her someday. Her unique blend of warmth and charisma makes her an ideal fit for this production.

Additionally, Graham is now part of the ensemble for the dark comedy titled “Twinless“, which boasts James Sweeney as both writer and director, along with stars such as Dylan O’Brien and Aisling Franciosi.

The movie chronicles the development of an unconventional bond between two young individuals as they find solace at a twin loss support gathering.

In the United States, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will hit movie screens starting November 8. As of now, a release date for the UK has not been set.
