Gillian Anderson’s “hotly-anticipated” new movie finally confirms UK release date

Mubi will release the new horror film Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma in the UK and Ireland soon. The film is from writer-director Jane Schoenbrun, who is known for her acclaimed work.

The horror film stars Gillian Anderson and Hannah Einbinder and centers around a well-known horror series that’s had many sequels. A new, energetic director has taken over, aiming to revitalize the franchise for modern audiences.

She tracks down the original star of the series, now a reclusive figure, and together they’re drawn into a dangerous and intense world filled with passion, terror, and madness, according to the movie’s description.

The film will be released in the US on August 7th. Viewers in the UK will have to wait until August 21st to see it in theaters, as confirmed by Mubi.

Since Mubi is producing and distributing the film, it will probably become available on their streaming service after it finishes playing in theaters. Mubi is an add-on channel for Amazon Prime Video and costs £11.99 a month, with a seven-day free trial.
