Gigi Gorgeous makes shock announcement about marriage to transgender Getty heir who is godchild to Gavin Newsom
Gigi Gorgeous and Nats Getty are divorcing after six years of marriage.
33-year-old Montreal resident, beautifully referred to as Gorgeous, and Nats, a 32-year-old activist and heir to the Getty wealth, tied the knot in Montecito, California during July of 2019, three years after their paths first crossed.
At the Rosewood Miramar Beach, Getty and Gorgeous, now husband and wife, have openly shared that they identify as transgender. Getty made this announcement in 2021, while Gorgeous did so in 2013.
According to court documents, it was stated by Getty that he and his wife were experiencing insurmountable disagreements, which ultimately led to the termination of their marriage. The godfather of Getty is California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Regarding their separation, a representative for Getty and Gorgeous confirmed to People that their breakup would not turn into a messy ordeal.
The representative stated that although they are choosing to part ways in their marriage, they continue to maintain a strong friendship and hold deep affection and regard for one another.
Getty filed paperwork in Los Angeles County Superior Court Wednesday, according to the outlet.
The separation date listed on the court docs was February 27, 2025, the outlet reported.
According to the representative, both Gigi Gorgeous and Nats Getty announced they’ve decided to end their relationship in a friendly manner and have now filed for divorce.
The social media star, who has modeled and acted, emerged as a YouTube star in 2008.
The video blogs Gorgeous uploaded on the streaming platform surged in popularity.
She continues to be widely influential, boasting over 2.2 million followers on Instagram and an additional 130,800 on TikTok.
According to reports from TMZ based on court records, the individual in question is set to get alimony as per the prenuptial agreement they had both signed.
On Monday, Gorgeous shared on Instagram that she had a fantastic time participating in the parade as Pride Month came to an end.

She expressed her gratitude for being able to join and lead the celebration alongside millions in Toronto, representing CANFAR. Naturally, she chose to don a classic Canadian suit, complete with some eye-catching accessories.
‘Not only does my hometown fuel me, but its people are the very source of that energy! Truly, this year’s Pride was absolutely outstanding and unforgettable!’
As a dedicated follower, I find immense significance in taking part in Pride celebrations. Last June of 2021, I openly declared, “I proudly identify as a trans man.” It’s liberating and authentic to finally declare my preferred pronouns: he/him.
‘That’s why this year’s pride is so important to me.’
