Gia Giudice Fights Back After Bethenny Frankel Attacks Teresa’s Financial Woes!

Giudice, Gia (Teresa’s daughter), is strongly standing up for her mother, Teresa Giudice, following Bethenny Frankel‘s public criticism regarding Teresa’s escalating tax issues on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

52-year-old Teresa and her husband Luis Ruelas, 49, were hit with an astounding $3 million in federal and state tax debts in March, which represents another significant financial controversy, almost a decade since Teresa served prison time for fraud during her marriage to her former husband Joe Giudice.

54-year-old Bethenny didn’t hesitate to voice her opinion, taking to TikTok to criticize Teresa for getting entangled in another marriage with financial and legal issues, and furthermore, commenting on Gia’s stance regarding Teresa’s choice not to sign a prenup with Ruelas in 2022. In simpler terms, Bethenny quickly expressed her disapproval of Teresa’s involvement in a problematic marriage on TikTok and also spoke about Gia supporting her mother’s decision not to have a prenup with Ruelas in the past.

Bethenny mentioned that one of the daughters had expressed disapproval towards the father getting the mother to sign a prenup, which was a reference to Gia’s past comments about Joe and Teresa’s relationship. She implied that the daughter lacked proper guidance and knowledge in this matter.

Now, Gia, 24, is clapping back—and she’s not holding back.

In a conversation with People on Thursday, I openly expressed that Frankel seemed to be manipulating and deceiving me, which is not accurate. Contrary to what she claimed in her statement, I never advised her financially or even suggested anything related to it.

Gia also said her family was ‘not happy’ about the Skinnygirl mogul’s remarks.

I couldn’t help but pause for a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude towards those who’ve stood up for me and my loved ones in their time of need. Among them are the esteemed Ana Quincoces, a shining star from Real Housewives of Miami, and two remarkable ladies from Real Housewives of New Jersey – Jennifer Fessler and Dolores Catania. Their unwavering support means the world to me!

Later on, Frankel made it clear on TikTok that she didn’t accuse Gia of providing financial advice. She attributed any misunderstanding to a supposedly fabricated quote, allegedly created by an artificial intelligence system.

Frankel clarified that the quote was indeed well-written but he couldn’t take credit for it as an AI generated it. He didn’t write it himself; instead, it has been circulating and people have been sharing their interpretations of it. In this instance, he doesn’t mind who gets the recognition since it doesn’t matter to him.

She acknowledged that the person is indeed an adult, but due to her young demeanor, it feels strange since everyone has a childhood, and it’s not something she feels comfortable with, so she chooses to stay away from it.

After I firmly stated that I’m unfazed, my interview was conducted regarding the substantial tax debts owed by my mother and stepfather, totaling millions of dollars. However, these financial concerns do not worry me.

As stated on the New Jersey Courts’ official site, there is an outstanding balance of $303,889.20 in unpaid taxes against Teresa, a debt that was legally established on March 20th.

The court ruling from March 6 states that Luis is obligated to pay over $2.5 million ($2,569,842.06), a sum he currently owes multiple times over.

Apart from the pre-existing claim dated December 12, 2024, regarding overdue tax payments amounting to $163,523.94, there’s an additional sum I’m now facing.

In a recent episode of Casual Chaos on March 30th, Gia disclosed that she’s not alarmed because her mother has been our family’s primary source of income ever since our father went to prison.

She emphasized repeatedly that Mother Teresa has been tirelessly working towards ensuring a secure and financially sound life for her daughters and the entire family ever since she was released from prison in December 2015.

‘I can’t stress enough how much my mom has worked,’ Gia said.

‘Things are going to work out just fine. My mother is handling everything competently, so there’s no need for concern.’

Gia went on to say, ‘My stepfather, Louis, is simply fantastic. He cares for my siblings and me just as if we were his own children, and he’s diligently working to sort out any issues that arise.’

Teresa and Joe take great pride in being the parents of their four girls: Gia (age 20), Gabriella, and younger sisters Milania (age 19) and Audriana (age 15).

Her continued appreciation for Luis arises amidst ongoing examination of Teresa’s prolonged financial difficulties, which have been a topic since her separation from Joe.

In 2014, Joe admitted his guilt for committing 41 instances of banking, mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud, leading him to receive a sentence of 41 months in prison.

Apart from acknowledging non-submission of tax returns during the years 2004 to 2008, it’s important to note that upon his release, an order was issued for him to revisit Italy as part of ongoing deportation matters.

Teresa served 15 months in federal prison for her role in the crimes. 

She later met Luis during a vacation at the Jersey Shore in 2020.
