This summer, it’s been announced that Limited Run Games is releasing a compilation called the Gex Trilogy. This collection gathers together three old-school platform games centered around the main character, a lizard named Gex. Developed using the Carbon Engine, this set includes updated versions of the original Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko.
Each game will offer enhanced graphics and better control systems, plus rewind and save state features that work across all three titles. Additionally, the games Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko will feature widescreen compatibility. As an extra treat, a Music Player will be included, featuring music from all three games, along with a Media Viewer that offers promotional content, artwork, behind-the-scenes interviews with Dana Gould – the US voice actor for Gex, and additional behind-the-scenes material.
In summer 2025, you’ll be able to experience the Gex Trilogy on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Both digital and physical versions of the game will be available for purchase. To get a glimpse of the three iconic Gex games in motion, check out the trailer below.
