Get the 67 emote in Overwatch 2 now to dunk on your enemies

“I was close to uninstalling.”

Overwatch 2 has a new emote! It’s for Soldier: 76 and references a silly, trending phrase popular with younger players (Gen Alpha). The humor comes from the fact that Soldier: 76 is a much older character. Find out below how to unlock the ’67’ emote and use it to playfully irritate your friends and opponents!

How to unlock the Overwatch 67 emote

To unlock the Soldier: 67 emote in Overwatch 2, simply play 20 matches. Wins are worth either 6 or 7 matches towards the challenge, so you don’t need to focus too much on winning every game to make progress.

Once you’ve unlocked the emote, you can use it in-game by going to the ‘Heroes’ menu, selecting Soldier: 76, then navigating to the ‘Emote’ section and choosing the one you unlocked. Just hit ‘Equip’ to activate it! The coolest thing is that Soldier: 76 actually says ‘6-7’ when you use it – it’s an extra voice line for fans!

Overwatch 2 players are already playfully teasing each other online. One player, JohnBBaka, shared a video on X showing them being defeated by an enemy Soldier: 76. Instead of the typical ‘tea-bagging’ taunt, the winning player used the ’67’ emote to mock them.

“I was close to uninstalling,” JohnBBaka also wrote.

Overwatch 2 officially gets 67 emote

Last November, the Overwatch 2 team playfully hinted at a new emote related to the number 76 online. They joked that Dictionary.com had already chosen ’67’ as their 2025 Word of the Year, noting a huge spike – over six times more – in searches for the number starting mid-2025. They even tagged Merriam-Webster in a post, adding to the fun.

Fortnite joins the 67 shenanigans

Overwatch 2 isn’t the only game jumping on the ’67’ emote trend. HYPEX reports that Fortnite will also be adding it soon, making it an even bigger and funnier phenomenon.
