Christiano Ronaldo has disclosed that he won’t get married to his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, until they have that special moment or connection.
Since 2016, the footballer (40 years old) has been in a relationship with a Spanish model (31 years old). They have two daughters: Alana (7 years old) and Bella (2 years old) together. Additionally, she serves as a stepmother to his three other children.
Although the couple hasn’t openly announced their engagement status, there has been speculation among Georgina’s friends about when he might propose.
During an interview on her Netflix reality series “I Am Georgina”, the model shared that she’s occasionally faced good-natured jokes from friends about when she plans to tie the knot.
She mentioned that people are constantly teasing her about the upcoming wedding. They frequently ask, “When is the wedding?” Ever since Jennifer Lopez’s song “The Ring Or When” was released, they have been singing it to her. However, as it stands, the decision isn’t in her hands.
However, Ronaldo made it clear that he plans to wed her once they’ve found “the perfect moment,” which implies when all aspects of their lives align seamlessly.
He often tells her, “It’s when we find that connection.” She understands perfectly well what he means, as it pertains to their relationship, just like any aspect of their lives.
‘Without a doubt, it will occur within the next year, possibly as soon as the next month, or even in six months. The timeline is uncertain, but the event itself is certain.’
Following the footballer’s heartfelt birthday homage, he posted a picture of them training in the gym – quintessentially Ronaldo-style.
‘For the mother, partner, friend, my wife… happy birthday, love,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘Your light illuminates us and your love infects us,’ he added, alongside a heart emoji.
On her Instagram page, Georgina shared how she had been showered in gifts by loved ones.
The model showcased an assortment featuring a heart-shaped bouquet of roses, a personalized Laverne perfume gift bag (which she designed), and a picture capturing her joyous moment with a cake.
Besides another present, a cherished person gave Georgina a note that said: “Unique item for an extraordinary Georgina.
It is unclear if these specific gifts were from Ronaldo.
Prior to this announcement, Ronaldo had on several occasions called Rodriguez “his wife” despite them not having a formal public wedding ceremony.
At the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai, where he received two awards, he expressed his joy by saying: “I’m deeply gratified to have won this trophy. My eldest son and my wife, Georgina, are both present here.
Additionally, In a recently launched YouTube video titled “Mr. and Mrs.”, published around late August, Cristiano Ronaldo publicly called her his “spouse”.
In the same video, the couple also appeared to be wearing wedding rings.
After an unexpected revelation in the title, another video emerged showing him referring to Georgina as his spouse during a conversation about his daily habits.
On the WHOOP podcast, he mentioned that his daily ritual involves enjoying a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. He then spends time conversing with his children and wife, commencing his day in this manner.
