There is a significant question regarding the fair distribution of medications – are the children who truly need them receiving them? Are these medications positively impacting their academic performance and behavior?

The segment did not sit well with Rusciano, who took to social media to voice her displeasure.

On Wednesday, she reposted onto her Instagram story a remark she previously made beneath a post from The Project regarding their segment.

Directly stating his opinion, Rusciano criticized the segment as “inhumane” and alleged that The Project often singles out individuals who are neurodiverse.

As a passionate devotee, I can’t help but ask: “Why persistently does The Project focus on the Neurodiverse (ND) community with such low-quality, sensationalistic, and downright disrespectful content?” This is my question.

Instead, she delivered a final sharp remark on the Network Ten current affairs show by saying, “In actuality, take this politely as advice, but you might want to consider other options.” (Although this is not a direct translation, it maintains the tone and intent of the original sentence while using more acceptable language.)

Rusciano was a regular panelist on The Project, appearing on the show from 2011 to 2022. 

it’s not the first time Rusciano has taken aim at at her former employers.

2023 saw her expressing disapproval towards the show due to a racially insensitive joke made by comedian Reuben Kaye concerning Jesus Christ.

She claimed that The Project had abandoned Kaye by distancing themselves from him and expressing a solemn apology, emphasizing how “incredibly and unnecessarily hurtful” his joke was.

Rusciano tweeted, expressing difficulty in accepting, ‘It seems incredibly unlikely that the joke which halted an entire nation hadn’t been pre-approved for Reuben Kaye.’

In a recent response, Rusciano has spoken out again, this time following her criticism of a previous workplace, Triple M, which was sparked by remarks made by former host Marty Sheargold regarding the Matildas.

The presenter, Sheargold, was dismissed from the network following his comments about the Matildas. He told his audience that there seemed to be an issue with the team and went on to describe them as similar to Year 10 girls.

After the troubled host left, Rusciano asserted on her Instagram story that there exists a deeply ingrained sexist atmosphere within the network.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share my personal account of what transpired during my four extraordinary years with the Triple M Perth breakfast crew. Unfortunately, I found myself confronted with instances of gender bias, or misogyny, right in the heart of that esteemed radio station.

Rusciano then went on to say that it was a sentiment that was shared regularly with staff.

Later on, I discovered that during our regular team gatherings, he’d make the same remark – right in front of everyone, including those who were not endowed with male or female anatomy, as I shared later on.

In a related video, she expressed her joy at the fact that Australian women are voicing their displeasure over Sheargold’s offensive remarks concerning women in sports.

She stated, “It seems he touched upon a common concern – be cautious about disparaging the Matildas or undermining women’s sports.

We’ve reached our limit. We’ve been searching for a turning point, and surprisingly, it seems to be a listener on a radio station called Bogan FM. Alright, let’s move, ladies.

Following her critique in February on social media, Rusciano expressed forceful opinions against the entire commercial radio industry of the country.

Em was frustrated when will Australian PR women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and others, no longer grant their most important interviews to commercial radio hosts who appear uninterested.

It seems those individuals are pointing fingers at their producers for their unpreparedness, showing little enthusiasm in making their content interesting or enjoyable, and what’s more frustrating is that they fail to tailor their work to the audience they aim to reach.

The star from Melbourne expressed that her self-produced podcast, Emsolation, consistently featured engaging interviews. However, she found it challenging to secure talent due to the struggle of booking them.
