Geri Halliwell-Horner’s Shock Style Inspiration Revealed
Geri Halliwell-Horner shared an unusual source of fashion influence: Steve Jobs.
The Spice Girl, aged 52, is renowned for her distinctive white-only attire and seldom appears at public functions wearing anything but white.
Currently, Geri has shed light on the origin of her distinctive style, explaining that the minimalistic outfits she often wears were influenced by the late Steve Jobs.
In a chat with Jessie and Lennie Ware during their Table Manners podcast, Geri mentioned that she often observes individuals such as Steve and Mark Zuckerberg consistently sporting similar attire in their professional lives.
In my pursuit of streamlined morning routines, I’ve found myself gravitating towards a distinctive style approach. During my twenties, I embraced an all-black wardrobe for its timeless appeal. Later, as I sought to further simplify my daily preparations, I switched to an all-white ensemble.
During my twenties, I had a phase where I consistently wore black outfits. Many men, I noticed, tended to dress similarly in that era.

It seems that figures such as Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook’s creator) often choose to dress in a similar, consistent style, which can be likened to a uniform.
I was wondering, specifically, how long it takes you to get dressed? That leads me to another point – everything seems to coordinate well. The overall impression is one of simplicity.
At times, she might wear khaki pants, although she does own other colors too; sometimes she just grabs whatever is convenient,” she mentioned as an addendum.
Apart from reflecting on her past with the Spice Girls, Geri often recalls the times when her vibrant and eye-catching stage costumes made a statement, such as the legendary Union Jack dress she donned.
She shared that she continues to stay in touch with her former band members – Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, and Emma Bunton – referring to them as if they were “long-time friends or relatives.
After coming together in 1994, the Spice Girls eventually earned their famous nicknames, including Ginger Spice for the lead singer, due to the process of receiving them.
In her account, she mentioned that Peter Loraine, formerly a magazine editor and now a celebrity manager, was the one who originated the concept. This revelation was made during an interview where he presented everyone with spice racks and unique nicknames.
(Peter) used to be editor of this magazine, Top of the Pops magazine,’ Geri shared.

During my time with The Spice Girls, one of our early interviews was conducted by him. Later, he created a spice rack as a humorous tribute to us.
After that, he simply mentioned every spice. Nothing more, nothing less. It caught on, and we found ourselves thinking, “That’s quite clever! Let’s hold onto this idea.
Geri found no issue with him picking Ginger Spice, as opposed to Victoria being Posh Spice, Mel B being Scary Spice, Mel C transforming into Sporty Spice, and Emma being Baby Spice.
It was just announced by Geri that there might be a big reunion for The Spice Girls, over two decades since they separated in 2001.
She shared with The Times: “My aspiration is that we reunite as a unified group. It’s a more considerate approach to join forces as one.
‘Something is coming our way. United, we shall stand. Our bond runs deep – we cherish and care for each other profoundly. Our collective wish is to bring out the best in everyone.’
‘Together, we experienced something truly significant. Our faith in one another has been unwavering, and that mutual trust is a thing of great beauty.’
She also confirmed that the five of them do have a group chat but wouldn’t reveal the name of it.

As a die-hard Spice Girls enthusiast, I can’t help but feel my heart race with excitement when I hear whispers that Mel C may have dropped a hint about something extraordinary planned for next year to celebrate the incredible 30-year milestone since our beloved debut album, “Spice,” was unleashed upon the world!
The girl group last toured together in 2020 as a foursome, with only Victoria missing out.
Emma, Mel B, Mel C, Victoria, and Geri last shared a stage during the opening event of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
During a chat with Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1 recently, Mel C hinted at something suitable for the 30-year anniversary of “Wannabe”.
Regardless of how much time has passed since they were part of the Spice Girls, they will forever be known as such. Yet, it’s time for us to reunite now, understanding that if we wish to accomplish anything, we need to begin strategizing and organizing our plans to ensure everything runs smoothly.
‘We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed.’
Instead of waiting for something to happen, she suggested that it could be her and Mel B who should take the initiative, expressing this as: “It seems like it’s on us – me and Mel B – to get things started, so we might just jump right in with enthusiasm: ‘Let’s go! The time is now!’
