Georgina Rodriguez says $3m engagement ring from Cristiano Ronaldo was ‘the least he could do’ after decade-long courtship and reveals plans for more children

Cristiano Ronaldo proposed to Georgina Rodriguez with a stunning $3 million engagement ring – a 30-carat diamond – after they had been dating for nine years. The proposal happened in August.

The 31-year-old model, who is Argentine and Spanish, is getting married to the 40-year-old Portuguese soccer player after he proposed with a stunning, large diamond ring.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what Georgina said! Apparently, in an interview, she was playfully hinting about the ring – she joked that after all this time, it was honestly the least Cristiano could do to finally propose! I’m dying, it’s happening, I just know it!

She described the ring as beautiful, jokingly adding it was the minimum he could do after she waited ten years for a proposal. She confessed that when he actually proposed, she was completely surprised and it hadn’t even crossed her mind.

I was really surprised when he gave me that huge stone! It took me a while to even deal with it. I just left it in my room and didn’t look at it properly until the next day – it was pretty shocking, honestly (laughs).

The couple began dating in 2016 and are parents to two daughters: seven-year-old Alana and two-year-old Bella. Sadly, Bella had a twin brother, Ángel, who passed away during delivery.

Georgina is also a stepmother to Cristiano Ronaldo’s three other children: his 15-year-old son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., and eight-year-old twins, Eva and Mateo, who were born via surrogacy.

The couple have not ruled out having more children.

Georgina described her enduring relationship, explaining that she felt a deep connection with her partner that wasn’t just physical.

I didn’t predict my future, or imagine we’d have five kids in ten years, but I had a strange feeling about what was to come.

You know those moments when you meet someone and it just feels different? That’s exactly what happened to me. It wasn’t about physical attraction, it was something deeper. It felt like our spirits instantly recognized each other, a connection I hadn’t experienced before. From that first glance, I just knew this was something truly special and unlike anything I’d felt with anyone else.

Georgina, a model and entrepreneur, is working to build her own public image, separate from her famous partner. She’s already achieved success with her popular Netflix series, ‘I Am Georgina,’ which has run for three seasons.

She is the proud owner of Bellhatria, her recently opened luxury real estate agency. 

And with five children, travel, recordings and work, he does not allow himself to rest. 

I’m constantly busy and always have a lot on my plate. Even though I receive assistance, it doesn’t mean my responsibilities disappear.

With a big family, demanding work, and a new business to run, my life is always busy. But I thrive on the constant activity and feel incredibly fortunate.

The star has said her global fame certainly hasn’t gone to her said, saying: ‘I am what you  see.’ 

I’m still fundamentally me, but I’ve changed over time through life experiences and simply getting older. It would be odd if I thought I was the same person at 31 that I was at 20!

I love to laugh and don’t take myself too seriously, but I really dislike jokes that make fun of how someone looks or their intelligence.

Georgina said that their children have brought them closer together. 

She explained that maintaining their love is a continuous, daily effort. Having five children together and sharing the experience of parenthood has created a uniquely strong bond between them.

Our love continues to deepen and evolve, becoming stronger with time. The feelings we share now are genuine, lasting, and something we deeply value and respect.

She shared that growing her family feels like a lifelong dream come true. Having grown up in a small family – just her mother, sister, and herself – she’s always envisioned having a larger family of her own.

‘Thank God I have one today.’ 

When asked about having more children, Georgina said she’s still young and believes it’s up to fate.

She also spoke about the importance of keeping her chldren grounded despite their great wealth.  

As a lifestyle expert, I often get asked about raising kids well, regardless of income. What I’ve found is that, no matter your financial situation, consistently teaching your children your core values is what really matters. It’s about what you believe in, not how much you have.

We want our children to understand that success comes from hard work, not luck. We emphasize the value of perseverance and, above all, being kind and decent individuals.

I’ve always admired them – they’re just naturally polite and incredibly responsible, giving their all at school and in everything they do. But what really stands out is their determination; they never give up on their dreams. And honestly, you can see where they get it from – that’s the kind of home they have.
