Georgia Love in Tears: Bachelorette Breaks Silence on Heartbreaking Split from Lee Elliot

Georgia Love, the former Bachelorette, has finally spoken up about her recent separation from her spouse, Lee Elliot.

The pair, who found each other during the 2016 season of The Bachelorette and were together for four years, announced their split in February.

35-year-old Georgia openly discussed their choice to end things during an honest conversation with Kate Langbroek on the Mamamia No Filter podcast, marking the first time they’ve spoken about it publicly.

The reality TV personality confessed that disclosing her breakup with Lee was challenging, as she felt she had disappointed those who cared about her.

She expressed, “I don’t wish to seem like I’ve disappointed anyone, even though it’s irrational since this situation isn’t about others; it’s about us.” Upon saying this, she began to cry.

From the outset, folks have shown tremendous support for our journey, with many finding solace in observing our bond and drawing inspiration from it. However, I’ve been deeply troubled, feeling as though I may have disappointed those who have placed their trust and hope in us.

Georgia mentioned that the most challenging aspect of her separation was having to endure another phase of mourning and sorrow.

At the close of last year, it proved incredibly challenging due to the widespread conjecture regarding our potential separation. Navigating through those events was tough as I sought to understand and accept the situation unfolding.

‘Together with Lee, we reached a mutual decision, but please understand that it doesn’t bring me joy. On the contrary, I find myself feeling quite sad about it.’

Georgia too praised Lee’s ‘wonderful backing’ and shared that they have experienced many events together throughout their nine-year partnership.

In the nine years we’ve shared, we’ve experienced significant challenges together. Some of these hardships we’ve faced and overcome side by side, while others have led us to grow separately.

‘Through thick and thin, our bond has grown stronger, filled with mutual affection and admiration. It’s not what I envisioned, but I’m glad that I am where I am today.’

Georgia and Lee, who were married for four years, broke the news of their split in February.

Over the course of nine blissful years, among which four were spent as a married couple, I found myself at a crossroads, making the excruciatingly tough choice to walk down separate paths with love and respect. (Written in first person)

The bond between us has been truly unique, and we will forever hold dear the moments, affection, and joy that we have experienced together.

They’ve gone their separate ways without any animosity, as they’ve evolved differently. Yet, the bond of mutual respect and affection between them remains unchanged.

As I journey through this new phase, I cherish our friendship deeply and kindly ask for space and privacy. I am truly grateful for your understanding.

For a while, people speculated that Georgia and Lee might have parted ways because it had been over four months since they were last spotted together.

Over the Christmas season, they celebrated separately with their own families. Later, Georgia traveled to New York City for a vacation, leaving Lee behind.

There was much talk online, fueled by the fact that they were seen without their wedding rings, indicating that perhaps their relationship had come to an end.

It appears they were residing together in their matrimonial house in Melbourne up until this past Saturday.

Before setting off for a drinks evening, Georgia was noticed visiting a nail salon earlier.

For the past few months, it appears that the ex-reality television personality has stopped wearing her wedding ring, as she was spotted without it on a recent public appearance.

Shortly after, Lee returned home driving a tradesman’s ute while wearing a bright yellow uniform.
