George RR Martin says he will reveal “everything that’s gone wrong” with House of the Dragon

As a devoted gamer and ardent fan of George RR Martin’s epic saga, I find myself constantly navigating the treacherous waters of Westeros and beyond. The latest development in the realm of House of the Dragon has piqued my interest, as our beloved author hints at unveiling the missteps of the series.

George RR Martin has mentioned that he’ll eventually disclose all the mistakes made during the production of “House of the Dragon“, though not quite at this moment.

According to Martin’s 2018 book “Fire & Blood”, the prequel television series, taking place approximately 200 years prior to the storyline in “Game of Thrones”, aired again this past summer for its second episode.

On his blog named “Not A Blog“, the author of “Game of Thrones” expressed: “I am not eager for the upcoming posts I must compose, concerning all the issues with “House of the Dragon“… yet, I have to do so and I will. Not today, though.”

Digital Spy has reached out to HBO Max for comment.

Martin hasn’t specified when he plans to express his ideas, but the writer has previously been vocal about his views on how screenwriters handle TV adaptations.

In July, Martin commended the writers for modifying the original work by introducing a dog as Mark Stobart’s character, Cheese’s pet.

Martin expressed his thoughts on his blog, stating that he’s generally not a fan of writers introducing new characters into a story when it’s being adapted from an original source. Particularly, when the source material happens to be his own work. In this case, the show has added a new character – the dog.

However remarkable the dog was, I had expected to dislike Cheese. Yet, my dislike intensified when he kicked the dog. Later, as the dog sat humbly at his feet, looking up, it nearly moved me to tears. Such a small creature, yet its presence held such weight.

“But his presence, the few short moments he was on screen, gave the ratcatcher so much humanity. Human beings are such complex creatures. The silent presence of that dog reminded us that even the worst of men, the vile and the venal, can love and be loved. I wish I’d thought of that dog. I didn’t, but someone else did. I am glad of that.”

In the United Kingdom, you can watch seasons 1-2 of “House of the Dragon” on Sky Atlantic, or stream it on NOW. On the other hand, in the United States, it airs on HBO and can be streamed on Max.
