George Gray’s Shocking Divorce After Heartbreak and Fame: What Went Wrong?
George Gray has filed for divorce from his wife Brittney Green after five years of marriage.
In the recently submitted documents, it has been reported that the 57-year-old longtime host of The Price Is Right attributed their separation to unresolvable disagreements with his former partner, who is now estranged from him.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Gray listed their date of separation as August 1, 2024.
The former couple previously tied the knot in April 2019 and do not share any children together.
Previously, the television figure – who had survived three heart attacks approximately five years prior – exchanged vows with a math teacher from high school at The Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Arizona. The touching wedding was overseen by his brother.
In April 2024, Green was last seen on Gray’s social media platform, as indicated by a self-filmed Instagram video where he praised the band Grouplove following a concert they attended together with his spouse.
As a die-hard GroupLove enthusiast, let me tell you, my better half, Brittney, adores them to no end. We had the incredible fortune of witnessing them perform at the legendary Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles – simply mind-blowing!
At the exclusive pre-concert event, they welcomed questions, and my spouse inquired, “What is your preferred game show?
He mentioned that he had invited the band to appear on a game show, as The Price Is Right happened to be one of their favorite shows to watch.
‘You rock,’ he said at the end of his video from the set of the game show.
In the year 2020, Gray shared his personal account of having a close brush with death, occurring only a year into his married life.
Back in April 2020, he suffered a heart attack that required immediate surgery on two occasions to unclog his clogged arteries.
Five months after his initial surgery, he recounted to Entertainment Tonight that it felt as if a massive load of bricks had struck him. Upon further examination, they discovered that he was completely blocked on the right side of his heart.
Following his emergency hospitalization for an upcoming open-heart operation, he suffered another heart attack instead.

‘So I have stints and a quadruple bypass on top of that,’ he explained.
In a prior conversation, Green had expressed concerns about his potential lifespan given the numerous operations he has undergone.
Following his second heart attack, she expressed that it seemed as though he wouldn’t make it through the operation to a news outlet. She admitted that she felt apprehensive, saying, “There might be complications.
Lucky for him, Gray made a full recovery and resumed his job on The Price Is Right five months afterwards, marking a decade of serving as the show’s announcer.
He was a guest announcer in 2010 before becoming the full-time announcer in 2015 during season 44.
In addition, Gray serves as the host for the primetime version of The Price Is Right titled The Price Is Right at Night. Previously, he has been the host for shows such as The Weakest Link, HGTV Showdown, and Gimme My Reality Show.
