George Clooney’s Wife Amal Faces US Ban Over Explosive Trump Sanctions—Find Out Why!

Under potential new U.S. sanctions proposed by President Donald Trump, George Clooney’s spouse, Amal (his attorney), might be barred from entering the country.

Noted global human rights attorney, aged 47, along with several prominent legal figures from Britain, are said to have received advisories regarding potential U.S. travel restrictions under the Trump administration, affecting properties they own, such as the Clooneys’ residence in America.

According to an article published by Financial Times last week, the UK Foreign Office has advised several prominent lawyers about potential sanctions from the Trump administration as a result of the legal counsel they provided to the International Criminal Court in a war crimes case involving Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Trump enacted Executive Order 14203, titled “Sanctions against the International Criminal Court,” in February, specifically mentioning ICC prosecutor Karim Khan, a British national.

He endorsed decrees aimed at countering religious discrimination towards Christians, and also criticized unfounded and unfair accusations leveled against Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court as being illegitimate.

In response to an arrest warrant issued by them in May 2024 following the Israel-Hams conflict, Trump imposed financial sanctions and travel restrictions on officials from the organization through an executive action.

Should further penalties be imposed, there is a possibility that Amal, who was a key advisor during the International Criminal Court Prosecutor Khan’s inquiry that resulted in warrant requests for both Israeli and Hamas leaders, may face restrictions entering the United States.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for George and Amal Clooney for comment.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is a global institution headquartered in The Hague. Its role involves examining and bringing charges against individuals suspected of committing atrocities such as war crimes, genocide, and other heinous acts against mankind.

According to Trump’s decree, the United States will enforce real and substantial penalties on individuals who violate the International Criminal Court’s rules.

The warrant for Netanyahu’s arrest was pushed by Khan.

In the event that the Prime Minister travels to nations such as France or the United Kingdom, there is a possibility of his arrest. Additionally, warrants were issued for prominent Hamas leaders, some of whom have since passed away.
