Instead of using temporary black hair dye to match his signature gray locks for a more convincing portrayal of Edward R. Murrow in ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’, the 64-year-old actor has opted to temporarily color his hair black.

George, with his baseball cap still perched on his head, earned an impressive Tony nomination for outstanding performance by a lead actor in a play. This recognition came during his Broadway debut, where he portrayed the late broadcast journalist engaging Senator Joseph McCarthy in an interview.

George Clooney mingled with theatre icons such as Harvey Fierstein, who is set to win a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award in the theatre industry. This honor will be presented during the awards ceremony broadcasted on CBS on June 8.

The twice-awarded Oscar recipient wore a radiant grin as he conversed with Tom Francis, a nominee for the category of Best Actor in a Musical on Sunset Boulevard.

George had a conversation with Kara Young, the nominee for Best Featured Actress in a play, while Sue Wagner, his main producer, was present and listened in.

The popular play that grossed $4 million is nominated for several Tonys, including categories like best scenic design, best costume design, best lighting design, and best sound design for a play.

On June 7th, CNN will break new ground by being the first network to air a play live, as they transmit Good Night, and Good Luck.
