Okay, so the Golden Globes just got a major dose of star power! George and Amal Clooney have arrived, and honestly, they look absolutely incredible. It’s always a thrill to see them on the red carpet – they just radiate old Hollywood glamour.
The famous couple, recently vacationing in the South of France, arrived at the Beverly Hills event on Sunday. This came just weeks after news broke that they had officially become citizens of France.
George looked like a classic movie star in a black tuxedo, complete with a bow tie and polished shoes. His wife was equally stunning in a vibrant red dress.
Amal wore a stunning, fire-red dress that flowed to the floor. She completed the look with a matching clutch.
George Clooney, 64, a longtime Democrat, his wife Amal, 47, who is British-Lebanese, and their eight-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, recently became French citizens. This follows an official announcement made in Paris confirming their receipt of French passports.
The couple, married since 2014, bought a house in the South of France in 2021. Last year, they then purchased a larger home near Cannes for £6.7 million (about $9 million).

George, a major Democratic donor, is widely believed to have significantly influenced Joe Biden’s choice not to run for re-election. Many see his financial impact as the deciding factor.
Last July, the Academy Award-winning actor wrote an opinion piece for The New York Times urging their political party to choose a different candidate for president.
George and Amal Clooney have strong ties to Europe, with a home in Berkshire, England, and another on Lake Como in Italy.
George publicly revealed the birth of his children on French television in June 2017, and he’s often expressed his appreciation for France’s strong privacy protections.
In a December interview with French radio, he expressed his fondness for French culture and language, jokingly admitting his French still wasn’t great despite taking classes for over a year.
One of our biggest priorities is that our children aren’t photographed without our permission. There are no paparazzi waiting outside the school, and that’s really important to us.
After buying a wine estate called Domaine du Canadel near Brignoles in southern France, the couple traded their large 25-bedroom Italian house – which included a tennis court and was located on Lake Como – for a smaller vacation home.
The property spans 425 acres and features an olive grove, vineyard, tennis court, and a boules pitch. The owners clearly cherish the tranquility and privacy that come with such a spacious estate, considering it their most beloved place.

George has a good relationship with Brignoles’ mayor, Didier Bremond. Last year, he even started a New Year’s message to the town’s residents with a friendly ‘Hello, Didier!’
We’d like to start by wishing everyone a very Happy New Year and hoping you all enjoyed the holidays. We truly appreciate the time we get to spend in the Var and in Brignoles, and we’re so grateful for your warm welcome and Didier’s friendship.
The couple’s vast property empire also includes homes in Kentucky and New York City.
