Geordie Shore stars ‘Charlotte Crosby and Sophie Kasaei donate thousands to Holly Hagan’s late sister’s memorial so family can take time off work to grieve following her tragic death’

Charlotte Crosby and Sophie Kasaei, known from Geordie Shore, have generously donated thousands of pounds to a memorial fund for Holly Hagan’s sister, Darci, who recently passed away. This donation will allow Holly’s family to take time off work to mourn their loss.

The 33-year-old reality star shared the sad news on Instagram last week that her 19-year-old sister had passed away after becoming seriously ill.

Many of Holly’s celebrity friends have offered support during this tough time, and they’ve reportedly collected around £5,000 to help fund a memorial.

Friends of Holly Hagan have generously donated thousands of pounds to help cover the costs of her sister’s funeral and create a memorial, also giving the family some time off work, according to a source who spoke with The Sun.

Charlotte Crosby and Jake Ankers donated £2,000, while Sophie Kasaei, Adam Frisby, Gaz Beadle, and Nathan Henry each contributed £1,000 or £500. Gaz and Nathan both gave £500.

On October 22nd, Holly shared the sad news that her sister had passed away after becoming seriously ill, reportedly due to drug use.

As a longtime fan, it just breaks my heart to hear that the whole family is deeply traumatized by this loss. It’s clear they’re all really struggling, and it’s just devastating to think about what they’re going through. It’s more than just sadness; it’s a profound trauma that will affect them all for a long time, I’m sure.

Greater Manchester Police reported to the Daily Mail that on October 19, 2025, they responded to a call from hospital staff concerned about the well-being of a 19-year-old woman. She had become seriously ill, and authorities suspect drug use was involved.

We are very sorry to report that the woman passed away in the hospital on Monday evening. We are keeping her family in our thoughts and offer our deepest sympathies. The investigation is still underway.

Holly shared on Instagram, expressing her gratitude to the ambulance team and Manchester Royal Infirmary for providing her sister with excellent care and maximizing her chances of recovery.

Holly and Darci are half-sisters who grew up largely away from public attention. They share a mother, Vicki, but have different fathers.

With deep sorrow, I share that my baby sister, Darci Rose, has passed away peacefully. She was surrounded by our family and her closest friends, and I was holding her hand. Thankfully, she didn’t suffer any pain.

The past four days have been incredibly difficult for our family, an experience we wouldn’t wish on anyone. We’re deeply traumatized and, when we’re ready, we will share what happened to Darci.

We kindly ask for your respect and understanding as we take time to process this situation privately.

To the amazing ambulance team and all the staff at Manchester Royal Infirmary’s Accident & Emergency and Intensive Care Units: thank you for giving my sister the best possible care.

Thanks to your incredible care, we were able to spend precious final moments with her – holding her hand, stroking her hair, and feeling her heartbeat. We are eternally grateful for how you cared for both her and our family during this incredibly difficult time.

Currently, my main priority is providing for my family and making sure they’re financially secure, so they don’t have to stress about work or money.

Darci is naturally beautiful, but she doesn’t seem to realize it. I used to tell her she’d look better without those over-the-top false eyelashes, but honestly, I was a bit of a hypocrite – I wore tons of them myself when I was her age!

Holly explained that her friend was very forgetful, often leaving lights on, failing to lock doors, and even leaving the freezer open. Once, Holly’s mother had to deal with a mess of completely thawed food because of it.

She was a wonderful aunt, and Alpha-Jax absolutely loved her. I’ll always remember how she spent his entire birthday playing on the bouncy castle with him and his sister, Alba – it’s a truly cherished memory.

She was driven to become a social worker because she loved helping kids, and I feel certain she’s continuing that work, caring for children now.

I’m not sure if I’m grieving the way I expected, but I truly feel her presence giving me strength. It’s like she’s watching over all of us, our guardian angel. We miss and love you so much, and you’ll always be remembered as our sweet 19-year-old.

Back in 2021 Holly penned a sweet message to her sister for her 16th birthday. 

She posted a collection of photos of them together and wrote a sweet birthday message: ‘Happy 16th birthday to my sister Darci, who isn’t so little anymore! Love you so much, twin!’

Holly previously spoke about Darci in her autobiography.

In her book, Not Quite a Geordie, Holly wrote about her initial feelings towards her sister Darci, explaining that while she loved her from the start, Darci was so young that she didn’t feel able to connect with her much at first.

I didn’t really get to have fun with her until she was a bit older and I started babysitting her.

I remember when my little one was first born – oh, the noise! She cried and screamed constantly, keeping everyone in the house up all night. Honestly, those early days were tough – she just wouldn’t sleep! It felt like a full two years before we all got a decent night’s rest!

‘All night long she would let out blood-curdling shrieks at the top of her voice.’ 

Under her post about Darci’s death, her friends offered words of support.

Holly’s Geordie Shore colleague, Nathan Henry, shared a message of sympathy, saying he was very sorry for her and her family’s loss and sending them love and hugs.

Kelsey Parked wrote: ‘sending you so much love xxxx.’

I feel so lucky to have met such a wonderful person. I’ll always remember Darci, Alpha Jax’s sister, especially from her birthday – Alba had a lovely time playing with her all day!

I was immediately drawn to Darci – she was so warm and kind! This post really touched me and broke my heart. Sending all my love to Holly, her mom, and John.

Shaughna Phillips from Love Island expressed her shock and sadness upon hearing the news, writing, ‘Holly, I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss and the loss your family is experiencing. Sending you all my love and prayers.’

Amber Turner from TOWIE expressed her condolences, sending love and prayers to the person and their family during this difficult time.

Sophie Kasaei, a friend and former colleague of Holly, shared her condolences, saying: ‘No family should ever experience such heartbreak. I wish I could ease Holly’s pain. Darci was a wonderful child and will always be remembered as a guiding light for Holly and her family.’

I truly admire your strength, and I’m so proud of how you’re holding the family together during this difficult time. I love you very much, and we’ll be here to support you every step of the way as you grieve. We’ll always remember our sweet Darci.

Holly is married to footballer Jacob Blyth. They welcomed son Alpha-Jax, now two, in June 2023.
