Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle, 37, reveals his nursing graduate girlfriend, 24, is expecting their first child together

Gaz Beadle announced on Instagram Thursday that he and his girlfriend, who is a qualified nurse, are expecting their first child.

Geordie Shore’s 37-year-old star, who has two children with his former partner Emma McVey, posted an adorable video of his girlfriend Maia, 24, getting an ultrasound.

As a lifestyle expert, I always say the sweetest moments are often the most candid! I recently saw a couple absolutely beaming – they’d just looked at their photos, and the joy on their faces was incredible. They were in the car, holding up the pictures, and then shared a really lovely kiss. It was a perfect, genuine moment of happiness.

A custom neckerchief for their Labrador and toys personalized with the names of Gaz’s children revealed the whole family is thrilled about expanding and having a new baby.

Oh my gosh, you guys, it was everything. Gaz just… gently put his hands on Maia’s little bump while they were chilling on this incredible beach, and I swear I melted. Then, like, a wave of pure joy hit him and he just started pumping his fists! It was the cutest, most perfect moment ever, and I’m officially deceased. I’ve rewatched the video like, a million times.

The Geordie Shore family were quick to congratulate their pal.

Pregnant Sophie Kasaei commented: ‘2026, the year of the Geordie Shore babies, congratulations.’

Marnie Simpson posted: ‘Omgggg congratulations’ while Sam Gowland said: ‘Congrats mate.’   

Gaz started dating Maia in 2024 and has publicly called her a positive influence, especially since she supported him during his breakup with Emma.

The TV personality and Emma share two children: Chester, age seven, and Primrose, age four. They got married in July 2021 but separated two years afterward.

This news follows his recent defense against criticism for coming back to Geordie Shore. He had previously left the show seven years ago to focus on becoming a father.

Earlier this month, someone criticized him on TikTok, calling him ’embarrassing’ and saying he seemed broke for coming back to the show. The show was filmed in Portugal with original cast members Sophie Kasaei and Chloe Ferry.

In response, Gary Beadle, a father of two who goes by ‘Gaz,’ pointed to the careers of footballers Thierry Henry and Micah Richards, both of whom have become successful as football commentators and television personalities.

Okay, seriously, is Henry only doing punditry because he needs the money? Or is it Micah Richards raking it in with those TV ads? Honestly, I’d do anything for that kind of opportunity! If someone offered me a paid vacation with my friends for a few weeks, you better believe I’d be on the first flight! It’s all about adding to the funds, right? More money is always a good thing!

He explained to The Sun that he had many discussions with the show’s creators before deciding to return, wanting to be certain it was the right move for him.

After talking things over, I decided I wasn’t going to portray a character who drinks heavily every night. That’s just not something I do in my own life, and I didn’t want to act like I did in the game.

He explained that seeing how much the show had evolved, combined with his children getting older, made him want to return.

Gaz first became well-known on the first season of Geordie Shore in 2011 and stayed on the show until 2017. He later appeared on the spin-off series, Geordie OGs, in 2019.

His relationship with Charlotte Crosby was the main focus of his time on the show. They had an unstable romance that ended because of his infidelity, and he wasn’t there for her when she tragically experienced an ectopic pregnancy in 2016 while he was filming Ex On The Beach in Thailand.

He departed the show after discovering his then-girlfriend Emma was expecting their first child.
