Story Highlights
- Leaks suggest Genshin Impact in-game voice chat feature is finally here.
- Even with voice chat’s addition, text chat would still be available as usual.
As a huge Genshin Impact fan, I’m so excited about the latest leaks for Version 6.4! It looks like Hoyoverse is finally adding in-game voice chat – something the community has been asking for forever! I’ve been digging into all the details that have come out so far, and I want to share everything I know about how this voice chat feature will work and what we can expect.
Genshin Impact Version 6.4 Leaks: A look into the Voice Chat feature
If you haven’t been following the news, I’ll explain the story behind voice chat. Initial mentions of this feature appeared during the beta test of Genshin Impact’s Miliastra’s Wonderland event.
When Version 6.0 launched, people speculated that voice chat would be added with the release of Miliastra’s Wonderland. While Miliastra’s Wonderland did arrive in Version 6.1, the update ultimately didn’t include voice chat.

We didn’t hear any new details until Version 6.3. Shortly after that update released, the beta for Version 6.4 started. Now, several trustworthy sources are suggesting that the voice chat feature, which players have been requesting for a long time, might be included in Version 6.4.
Adding this feature to Genshin Impact could significantly change how players interact. Currently, communication is limited to text chat, but this update would introduce the option to send voice messages. Players who prefer not to use voice chat can still communicate using the existing text chat.

Recent leaks suggest a new voice chat feature will first appear in Miliastra’s Wonderland, with plans to add it to the main chat system in Genshin Impact afterward. Players in the same lobby will be able to use it, supporting up to 12 people at once.
Genshin Impact Version 6.4 Leaks: What players can expect
The new voice chat feature in Genshin Impact will be a huge benefit for some players, making teamwork much easier, especially with the recent addition of multiplayer modes in the Miliastra’s Wonderland update. Others might find it takes some getting used to, but it eliminates the need for typing messages while playing with friends and allows for direct communication.
However, this feature might be frustrating for players who haven’t made friends in Genshin Impact yet. When playing multiplayer in Miliastra’s Wonderland, it can be awkward to either have to communicate with unfamiliar players or remain quiet during a match if you don’t have friends to play with.
Final Thoughts
I’m so excited they’re finally letting us voice chat directly with friends in Genshin Impact! It’s going to be amazing to connect with other players and hopefully make a lot of new friends. I’m really hoping this feature sticks around this time – it’s a game changer!
