Who should you go for between Ineffa, Columbina, Neuvillette, and Zibai in Genshin Impact Version 6.3 banners
The new characters in Genshin Impact’s Version 6.3 – Columbina, Ineffa, Neuvillette, and Zibai – are all appealing, making it tough to choose who to get. The best choice depends on what your team needs and what you’re planning for in the future. While each character is strong in their own way, some will be more helpful right away and in the long run than others.
Here’s a breakdown to help you decide.
1. Ineffa
In Genshin Impact, Ineffa is a powerful 5-star character who fights with a Polearm and uses Electro abilities. She’s best used as a secondary damage dealer from off-field, while also providing a strong shield and support to the team. She works particularly well with characters who use Hydro, and her abilities focus on increasing damage from certain elemental reactions, strengthening shields, and boosting the Elemental Mastery (EM) of her teammates.

Her ability summons a robot named Brigitta, which attacks nearby enemies with Electro damage every two seconds. Ineffa deals damage automatically through Brigitta releasing Thunderclouds that then cause Lunar Charge damage. Her ultimate ability delivers a large burst of Electro damage.
If you want a quick improvement for weak Electro or Hydro characters, Ineffa is a great choice.
2. Columbina
Columbina is a new 5-star Hydro character coming in Genshin Impact’s Version 6.3. She’s designed as a support character who can also deal some damage, and she works best in teams that focus on a special reaction called ‘Lunar’. When Columbina is in your party, she can turn reactions like Electro-Charged, Bloom, and Hydro Crystalize into these powerful Lunar Reactions, no matter who triggers them.

Columbina is a great help in Nod Krai explorations. She can revive fallen teammates and fully restore their health. Plus, she boosts all types of Lunar reaction damage. To get ready for her release, check out our Genshin Impact Columbina pre-farm guide.
3. Neuvillette
Neuvillette is a powerful 5-star character in Genshin Impact who uses a Catalyst and specializes in Hydro attacks. He’s a damage dealer (DPS) who relies on charging up attacks to deal significant area-of-effect Hydro damage. His gameplay centers around efficiently building up and unleashing these charged attacks, while also generating energy and healing himself.

Neuvillette became available in Version 4.1, and his damage output has consistently improved with each new character added to the game. What makes him unique in Genshin Impact is that he can effectively lead a wide variety of different teams.
4. Zibai
Zibai is a powerful new 5-star Sword character who focuses on dealing Geo damage as his main source of attack. He uniquely transforms the Hydro Crystalize reaction into a stronger version called Lunar Crystalize, which deals even more damage. This makes him a very promising damage dealer.

Who should you pull in Version 6.3 to make your squad future-proof in Genshin Impact
Phase 1
Columbina is the better choice between her and Ineffa. While Ineffa only boosts the Lunar Charge reaction, Columbina can significantly improve Electro-Charged, Bloom, and Hydro Crystalise reactions. If you’re looking for a character who can strengthen all your team members and increase your overall reaction damage, Columbina is essential.
Ineffa won’t be useful for pulling on this banner until you specifically need buffers for electro-charge teams, an Em buffer, and an electro-shielder.
Phase 2
Neuvillette is generally easier to use and build into a strong character compared to Zibai. While Zibai can be a powerful damage dealer, she really shines when paired with specific, high-level teammates. Neuvillette is more adaptable and works well in a wider variety of team compositions.
