- Mavuika suits players who want a flashy, hard-hitting carry, while Emilie is ideal for those building around elemental reactions and Pyro synergy.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to share that starting from July 8, 2025, and running until July 29, 2025, the Genshin Impact Version 5.7 Phase 2 banners will be live! In this exciting period, you’ll get a chance to see two familiar characters back in action, appearing together in a dual banner. Let the adventures continue!
In the upcoming stages of the game, we’ll evaluate the abilities and traits of all characters. Later, we’ll provide guidance on which of the two playable characters you might want to select based on their strengths.
Who should you go for between Mavuika and Emilie in Genshin Impact Version 5.7 Phase 2
In the second phase of Genshin Impact, Version 5.7 introduces Mavuika and Emilie as featured characters on the banner. Choosing between them can be tricky since it depends on your team’s requirements and preferences for future content. Each character has unique abilities that could benefit your team, but some might offer more short-term and long-term advantages compared to others. Here’s a quick rundown to help you make an informed decision.
1. Mavuika
Mavuika is referred to as the Pyro Archon, and she’s an exceptionally powerful unit for dealing damage on the battlefield with some supportive capabilities. Her attacks pack a punch similar to a heavy truck, making quick work of opponents, particularly when she has amassed sufficient “war spirit.

She truly outshines when working with characters employing the Night Soul mechanic, yet this aspect somewhat restricts her team possibilities. Nevertheless, her overwhelming strength, flamboyant gameplay, and capacity to inflict damage aligned with Night Soul are compelling reasons to consider pulling her if you’re aiming for a high-impact Damage Per Second (DPS) character. Moreover, she comes equipped with reasonable free-to-play weapons and can lead your team effectively through challenging content when optimally built.
2. Emilie
Emilie, alternatively, is more of a specialized choice. She functions primarily as an off-field Dendro damage dealer, but her power significantly increases in teams with a burning element. However, outside of this setup, her damage output decreases substantially.

If you can’t find a dependable method to activate Burning regularly, Emilie may underperform. She contributes little else to the team and primarily relies on that one response. However, she is user-friendly in terms of weapons and can function effectively with just a few strong Pyro characters. Keep in mind, you’ll need to construct a team specifically focused on Burning for her effectiveness.
Final Thoughts
As a fellow enthusiast, I’d say if you’re looking to add some firepower to your roster, Mavuika seems like the better all-around pick. She offers more versatility, packs a punch, and has a distinctive mechanic that’s incredibly rewarding to use. Emilie is certainly fun and potent, but she shines only in specific team compositions with Burning affinity, and specifically if you already have the right Pyro characters. For most players, Mavuika would be the safer and stronger bet.
