In the realm of gaming, Genshin Impact, a popular RPG created by Chinese developer HoYoverse, frequently organizes interactive sessions known as Developers’ Chats. These chats are designed to tackle player issues and foster dialogue between the gaming community and the creators, with the ultimate goal of improving the game. Let me share some highlights from the latest discussion for Genshin Impact Version 5.5.
In the next update, there will be fresh faces and new locations capturing attention, but it’s not just about that – it’s also filled with enhancements aimed at making the game run more smoothly and providing a better overall gaming experience.
Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Update Developers Discussion: Highlights
1. Artifact System Enhancements – Sanctifying Elixir Boost
In Version 5.5, we’re amping up the efficiency for Artifacts crafted with Sanctifying Elixir! Once such an Artifact hits Level 20, at least two of its minor properties will receive a significant upgrade.

This is significant due to the fact that enhancing Artifacts has historically been an inconsistent and aggravating aspect of character development. The small degree of control over sub-stat progression makes leveling up less of a chore, and filtering these Artifacts simplifies their management, making them easier to sort through.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got to say, this update feels like a breath of fresh air, particularly for us hardcore grinders who invest countless hours in stat optimization!
2. New Exchange List Feature in Serenitea Pot
The beloved Serenitea Pot is about to receive an upgraded experience thanks to the integration of a new feature called an Exchange List within the Realm Depot. This means that instead of buying items individually, we can now gather several items into a “shopping cart” and exchange them simultaneously.
This new feature will allow you to combine items from various sections in a single purchase, significantly reducing the time spent, especially during restocking of essentials like wood, seeds, and blueprints for furnishing. As someone who appreciates decorating my realm, I find the current exchange process quite tiresome. However, with this long-awaited, incredibly convenient feature, it’s like a dream come true!
3. Boss Guides
Locating and entering specific ‘boss battles’ can sometimes be frustrating, as some are secreted away far beneath the surface with numerous tricky entry points. In ‘Version 5.5’, a tracking and navigation aid will be implemented for certain bosses, making it easier for players to find their whereabouts.

If the closest Teleport Waypoint hasn’t been activated by you yet, you can opt for the ‘Track and Guide’ feature instead. The system will then guide you with a series of steps leading to the entrance, making it easier for both newcomers and seasoned players who may find it challenging to recall some intricate boss locations.
Initially, it’s designed for a select group of bosses, but knowing that additional ones will be introduced with subsequent updates provides a sense of comfort.
4. Gift Mail Box Search Feature
Over time, our “Gift Mail Box” has accumulated cherished letters and unique messages from friends, but locating a specific one was always a hassle. However, with the introduction of the new search feature, we can now easily find old emails by simply entering keywords or the sender’s name.

This minor yet profound modification holds immense value, particularly for us enthusiasts who enjoy reliving significant scenes or emotional exchanges with beloved characters.
5. Controller Support added for Android
Starting with the release of Version 5.5, we’ll introduce and maintain a new set of controller models specifically designed for Android users. This feature has been eagerly anticipated by many players since the initial launch.
Controller Model | Required OS Version |
---|---|
DualSense® Wireless Controller | Android 12.0 and above |
DUALSHOCK®4 Wireless Controller | Android 10.0 and above |
Xbox Wireless Controller | Android 9.0 and above |
Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 | Android 9.0 and above |
Final Thoughts
All in all, it appears that Version 5.5 is brimming with beneficial enhancements to gameplay experience, streamlining everyday play. The Artifact enhancement amplification significantly boosts character advancement, the Serenitea Pot exchange catalog will save time for decorators, the boss tracking system simplifies farming, and the Gift Mail Box search feature brings a sense of nostalgia while adding convenience.
Although these updates may not seem revolutionary, they address several minor issues that have been frustrating for players. In the grand scheme, these improvements make a significant impact. I’m eager to experience how these adjustments enhance gameplay!
