Genshin Impact Nefer Build Guide: Kits, best Team comps, weapons and artifacts explained

Story Highlights

  • Nefers damage makes her the strongest Dendro ON-Field DPS
  • Players can expect strong performance even without her premium team.
  • Nefer is designed to be an on-field carry and a strong synergy with Lunar Bloom Team.

Nefer is a brand-new, powerful five-star character in Genshin Impact, introduced in Version 6.1. She’s a Dendro user who wields a catalyst and excels at dealing massive damage with her charged attacks, specifically through lunar blooms. Originally from Sumeru, Nefer now resides in Nod Krai and has the unique ability to raise her party’s Moonsign level by one.

This guide will show you how to build Nefer in Genshin Impact, including the best equipment, team options, weapons, and artifacts to use.

Nefer: Secret Beneath the Sands is run by the Curatorium of Secrets in Genshin Impact. This organization is popular because it quickly completes tasks at affordable prices, and those prices can drop even further when Jahoda is working.

Genshin Impact Nefer Build Guide: Kit Explained

Nefer is a powerful character who excels at dealing damage on the battlefield, especially using Dendro attacks. Her Elemental Burst and charged attacks create a large area of effect, and she’s particularly known for her devastating Lunar Bloom damage. When you use her Elemental Skill, she enters a special state called Shadow Dance, which allows her to unleash even more powerful Lunar Bloom attacks with her charged attack.

When in this state, she generates Seeds of Deceit instead of Dendro Cores. Using her charged attacks consumes these Seeds, granting her Veil of Falsehood. This Veil boosts both her charged attack and Elemental Burst damage.

Okay, so I’ve been playing with Nefer, and let me tell you, she’s a bit tricky to learn at first! But once you get the hang of her, she’s amazing. Basically, if you have three Verdant Dew – which you get by triggering lunar reactions – after using her skill, you can unleash her super powerful charge attack three times in a row! Seriously, the damage is incredible. I’m actually clearing tough end-game stuff like the Imaginarium Theatre, Spiral Abyss, and Stygian Onslaught much easier now. It took some getting used to, but she’s totally worth it!

Genshin Impact Nefer Build Guide: Constellations

ConstellationsEffects
C1Increase her Lunar Bloom damage by 60% based on her elemental mastery and damage boosted further by her Veil of Falsehood. If your account doesn’t have Lauma, then this constellation is very important for your Nefer.
C2Nefer Veil of Falsehood state duration will be increased by 5 seconds, and increase stack limit from 3 to 5. Her elemental skill damage will be increased by 140% and when her Veil of Falsehood reaches 5 stacks, she will get 200 em. C2 gives her a huge buff, so if you want to make your Nefer strong, but don’t want to c6 her, then you can stop here and save resources for other characters.
C3Nefer’s elemental skill level will be increased by +3
C4This constellation increases Verdant Dew generation by 25% and also reduces nearby enemies’ Dendro res by 20%, but you have to stay near enemies; otherwise, res shred will be removed. Useful but not necessary.
C5Nefer’s elemental burst level will be increased by +3
C6After using her elemental skill, she will deal an extra 85% AoE Dendro damage based on her elemental mastery. Her burst damage will also increase by 120% based on her elemental mastery. If your team has 2 or more Nod krai characters, then Nefer Lunar Bloom damage will be increased by 15%. Like her C2 constellation, this constellation will significantly increase her damage.

Nefer is already a strong damage dealer even without any constellations. However, if you don’t have Lauma, getting Nefer to C1 is a good option. Reaching C2 will significantly boost her damage, and further constellations offer additional benefits.

Genshin Impact Nefer Guide: Best in-slot weapon

WeaponEffects
Reliquary of Truth (5*)Her best-in-slot is her signature weapon; her weapon passive gives 8% crit rate, and after unleashing the elemental skill, the equipped character will get 24% crit damage.

Her signature weapon gives her a solid 120% crit value buff.

Nightweaver’s Looking Glass (5*)It’s Lauma’s signature weapon, but this weapon is Nefer’s second-best-in-slot weapon. This weapon gives 120 elemental mastery and also increases lunar bloom damage by 40%.

It’s a support weapon, but Nefer can use that weapon all passive

Tome of the Eternal Flow (5*)It’s Neuvillette’s signature weapon. But if you use Furina with Nefer, you can use this weapon 42% charge attack damage buff, and this weapon also gives 88.2% crit damage.
Dawning Frost (4*)If you get this weapon from the weapon banner, it’s the best 4* weapon you can expect for Nefer, and if you get this weapon R5, then you can get 250 em from weapon passive.
Blackmarrow Lantern (4*)If you get this weapon from the weapon banner, it’s the best 4* weapon you can expect for Nefer, and if you get this weapon R5, then you can get 250 em from weapon passive.

Genshin Impact Nefer Build Guide: Artifacts to use

In this section, we will see Nefer’s best and good alternative artifact set.

ArtifactSet Bonus
Night of the Sky’s UnveilingHer best artifact set is Night of the Sky’s Unveiling. This artifact is made for em scaling character and for those who can trigger Lunar Bloom.

The 2-piece set bonus gives 80 elemental master, which is excellent for Nefer damage, and the 4-piece set bonus gives 30% crit rate if your team has 2 Nod Krai characters and Lunar Bloom damage increased by 10%.

Marechaussee HunterThis artifact set is an excellent alternative artifact for Nefer if you are using Furina with Nefer.

The 2-piece set bonus increases charge attack damage by 15% and the 4-piece set bonus gives 36% crit rate.

As for her Main Stats and Sub-Stats:

  • Timepiece: EM

Best Team Comps for Nefer in Genshin Impact

TeamCharacters
Premium TeamNefer, Lauma,
Nahida, C6 Aino
F2P TeamNefer, Any Off-Field Dendro applier,
Sucrose, Aino

Premium Team

Nefer’s strongest team is her premium build. With this team, she can consistently deal over 200,000 damage without needing any food or domain buffs. Lauma will be our primary secondary damage dealer, offering support by decreasing enemy Dendro resistance by 25%, increasing lunar bloom critical hit rate by 10%, and boosting the entire team’s Lunar bloom reaction with her burst.

Nahida will be our second character for dealing extra damage. She’ll boost our Elemental Mastery, and her ultimate ability will increase damage by 20%. If Aino is at her highest constellation level (C6), she’ll provide an additional 80 Elemental Mastery and a 35% damage bonus when using Lunar abilities. Here’s the best way to use this team in battle:

Nahida Skill>Burst>Aino Skill>Burst>Lauma Burst>Skill>Nefer Skill>3Normal Attack>Charge Attack

F2P Team

This team functions exceptionally well, even without the key players from the Nefer team. A major advantage is that it doesn’t require expensive characters or significant investment. You can achieve impressive damage even using support characters at level 60. Specifically, Aino equipped with the Silken Moon Serenade set grants a 120 elemental mastery buff and a 10% increase to lunar damage.

Sucrose, when paired with the Instructor set, boosts Elemental Mastery by 120. Her passive talent then adds an additional 20% Elemental Mastery based on her own Elemental Mastery stat. I also suggest including a healer who can apply Dendro, such as Yaoyao or Baizhu. Here’s the best way to cycle through your team’s abilities (Team Rotation):

Dendro Applier Burst>Skill>Aino Skill>Burst>Sucrose Skill>Nefer Skill>3Normal Attack>Charge Attack

Is Nefer worth pulling in Genshin Impact

If you need a powerful Dendro character who focuses on dealing damage directly on the field, she’s a great choice. While her abilities might seem complicated at first, you’ll quickly learn how they work together, and she’s actually easier to build than many other Dendro damage dealers. Plus, she can perform well even without a lot of resources invested in her.
