Kinich Kit

Kinich is a character classified as a 5-Star Dendro Claymore. Unlike Kaveh, who primarily utilizes Elemental Reactions for damage, Kinich takes a more direct approach to attacking. His power level is tied to his Attack stat, and he introduces an innovative aspect to the game: mid-air combos. A’jaw, a pixelated dragon, is his companion and significantly contributes to Kinich’s Elemental Burst.

Please remember, the specifics about Kinich’s gear, constellations, and other aspects you see here are not verified by official sources. They are presented with a degree of skepticism in mind.

Kinich Combat Skills

Kinich primarily uses his Elemental Skill, along with the mentioned airborne combo sequences. Notably, his skill incorporates the unique Nightsoul mechanism native to Natlan.

Normal Attack: Nightsun Style

For Claymore wielders, this is typically their standard attack sequence, yet there’s an unexpected element. Once he activates his Elemental Skill, he can execute the normal attack combo while airborne.

Elemental Skill: Canopy Hunter: Riding High

With this ability, Natlan characters can now utilize the innovative Nightsoul mechanism. By activating the skill, they’ll employ a grappling hook to swing towards either an opponent or an object nearby.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve learned to appreciate games that offer unique and engaging mechanics, and Kinich seems to be one such character. From what I gather, he possesses a skill set that allows him to interact with objects, enemies, and his environment in intriguing ways.

Under the Nightsoul’s Blessing effect, Kinich will gain the following effects:

  • Kinich launches Loop Shots as his normal attack, while also going in a circle around the tethered enemy. Attacks that hit will grant him Nightsoul Points.
  • Once the points are full, he can recast his Elemental Skill to use “Scalespiker Cannon.”
  • If the tether breaks, either by going too far from the enemy or for other reasons, he can use his Normal Attack to reconnect to nearby enemies.
  • After grappling an opponent or firing Scalespiker Cannon, a Blind Spot will spawn near the enemy. Restore 4 Nightsoul points when he enters this area.

Scalespiker Cannon

  • This takes the place of his Elemental Skill when he has maximum Nightsoul points.
  • Pressing Scalespiker Cannon will deal with Nightsoul-aligned Dendro DMG.
  • Holding will allow aiming.

Elemental Burst: Hail to the Almighty Dragonlord

Activate Ajaw’s power to unleash Area-of-Effect Dendro damage. This damage will continue at regular intervals. Utilize the Elemental Burst when under Nightsoul’s blessing to extend the duration of Ajaw’s attacks.

Kinich Passive Talents

To my delight, I find myself equipped with an intriguing set of four abilities. Among them, two serve a combative purpose, honed for battles, whilst the other pair are geared towards exploration and discovery. Furthermore, my repertoire includes a passive trait that fosters harmony with fellow Natlan characters.

Swift Envoy

In a region that follows Phlogiston Mechanics, collecting distinctive Natlan materials subtly boosts your group’s pace of travel, an effect that operates continuously.

Night Realm’s Gift: Repaid in Full

kinich can utilize Phlogiston to execute another swing following the use of his Elemental Ability, and this ability also triggers extra effects when the player changes to him while the main character is running or airborne.

  • If a Coilgrass Sigil is nearby, grapple toward it
  • If an enemy is nearby and the player is in combat, tether to nearby enemies
  • If neither of these is possible, grapple and swing instead

As a seasoned gamer, I’ve noticed an intriguing aspect when it comes to my interactions with Coilgrass Sigils and Yumkasaur-interactive items. It seems that if I engage with these elements, the cooldown for my Elemental Skill mysteriously vanishes, allowing me to use it more frequently. Quite fascinating, isn’t it?

The Price of Desolation

Whenever I unleash Kinich’s Elemental Skill while in the Nightsoul’s Blessing mode, foes get caught in the Desolation state. If these Desolation-affected enemies then take damage from Burning or Burgeon effects, I rack up Nightsoul points.

Flame Spirit Pact

Every time a party member unleashes a Nightsoul Burst, accumulate a layer of Hunter’s Insight. Employing the Elemental Skill depletes all layers of Hunter’s Insight, and each layer enhances the cannon’s damage output.

Kinich Constellations

Kinich’s Constellations makes his Elemental Skill hit harder and empowers his Scalespiker Cannon.

  1. Parrot’s Beak – After he swings using his Elemental Skill and lands, gain a Movement SPD boost. Scalespiker Cannon’s CRIT DMG will also increase.
  2. Tiger Beetle’s Palm – Enemies hit by the Elemental Skill will have their Dendro RES reduced. The first Scalespiker Cannon will also be empowered, increasing its AoE and DMG.
  3. Protosuchian’s Claw – Increase the level and level cap of Elemental Skil
  4. Hummingbird’s Feather – While in Nightsoul’s Blessing, restore energy while attacking. Hail to the Almighty Dragonlord will also deal more DMG
  5. Howler Monkey’s Tail – Increase the level and level cap of Elemental Burst
  6. Auspicious Beast’s Shape – The Scalespiker Cannon will bounce to an additional enemy. This bounce will trigger the effects of related Passive and Constellation effects.

In the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 5.0, set for release on August 28, 2024, Kinich will be introduced as a character you can play.
