General Hospital star Kate Mansi weds Matt McInnis in surprise ceremony

Actress Kate Mansi, known for her role on General Hospital, wed producer Matt McInnis in a downtown Los Angeles ceremony on the weekend after an 11-month engagement period.

Instead of waiting for an engagement party, the 37-year-old bride and 41-year-old groom surprised their 115 guests by turning a long-delayed gathering into a sudden wedding held at the transformed restaurant, Redbird.

As a devoted follower, I yearned for that explosion of jubilation, that instant when love completely overwhelms the space around, and I expressed this longing in my conversation with People on Tuesday.

Prior to slipping into her cherished Newhite wedding gown by LOHO Bride, Mansi initially wore disguise outfits, just as McInnis switched into a tailored suit crafted exclusively for him by Malibu Clothes.

As a devoted admirer, I had the honor of being present at a beautiful wedding ceremony officiated by the talented Thomas Dekker, known for his roles in Ark. Joining us were some familiar faces from the world of entertainment, including Shelley Hennig from Fluxx, Jonathan Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement, Alley Mills from The Wonder Years, and Britt Robertson, a star from The Rookie. What an unforgettable gathering it was!

Back then, it was Hennig who facilitated the first meeting between Kate and Matt, way back at her birthday celebration a couple of years prior to their becoming Instagram official in 2023.

At the exchange of vows, Mansi disclosed: ‘We placed a hand over our hearts and pledged, “I am here for you”, repeating this gesture towards one another. We extended an invitation to our community to share this promise with us – to stand by us and each other.’

The Emmy Award recipient from the daytime category expressed that their emotional event reflected our unique bond: ‘The whole night was designed to echo our relationship – surprising, filled with laughter, flowing at an unpredictable pace, and grounded in a profound sense of connection.’

The Toronto-born Canadian stated that he’s ‘never met a braver human being than Katie.’

McInnis expressed admiration, saying, “She has a profound influence on me. Her ability to bring out hidden talents in others, even when they themselves are unaware, is truly remarkable.

McInnis is headed for London soon to begin producing a new project with Amazon MGM Studios.

Mansi is the fourth actress to take on the role of Kristina Davis, a character known for her troubles, in the ABC soap opera General Hospital. She is the daughter of mob boss Sonny Corinthos (played by Maurice Benard) and attorney Alexis Davis (portrayed by Nancy Lee Grahn).

A woman originally from Southern California, who portrayed Abigail Deveraux on the NBC daytime drama Days of Our Lives from 2011 to 2016, is this individual in question.
