Gene Hackman’s Shocking Medical Secrets Revealed in Final Autopsy After Tragic Death at 95

The comprehensive autopsy report on Gene Hackman, the cherished Academy Award-winning actor, revealed an extensive medical background, a couple of months following the discovery of him and his wife deceased within their residence.

95-year-old Hackman had a history of congestive heart failure and severe, long-term changes related to high blood pressure affecting his kidneys, according to Fox’s report, which referenced the Office of the Medical Examiner in New Mexico.

Since April 2019, he has been fitted with a type of pacemaker that stimulates both ventricles, and, based on the autopsy findings, he displayed characteristics typical of someone suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease in terms of neurodegeneration.

The autopsy report indicated advanced atherosclerosis and high blood pressure related heart disease. It also showed that the person had undergone coronary artery stenting and bypass surgery, along with a prior aortic valve replacement.

There were instances of myocardial infarction in remote locations, specifically affecting the left ventricular free wall and the septum. These affected areas were notably extensive. Upon examination of the brain, there were microscopic indications suggesting an advanced stage of Alzheimer’s disease.

However, Hackman did not contract Hantavirus – the illness carried by rats that claimed the life of his wife, Betsy Arakawa. Instead, it appears another cause was responsible for his health issue.

Medical examiners have since concluded that Arakawa likely passed away on approximately February 12 due to severe respiratory issues brought about by the lethal hantavirus, a rare strain often transmitted by rodents through their urine, saliva, and feces. She was 65 years old.

According to a report from DailyMail.com, it appears that Arakawa had saved web pages about medical conditions which shared symptoms with Covid-19 or the flu on her computer, before her passing.

According to the medical examiner’s notes, the carbon monoxide levels were significantly lower than typical, falling within the normal range.

At the time of his passing, traces of acetone were found in Hackman’s body. This could potentially be due to a condition called “ketoacidosis” that can occur in diabetics during fasting.

In the wake of his wife’s passing, it’s thought that Hackman, battling advanced Alzheimer’s, spent time exploring the couple’s house on his own.

It is thought that the actor, aged 95, passed away approximately a week later, on or around February 18th, due to severe heart issues. His Alzheimer’s and kidney diseases also played significant roles in his death.

One week following the discovery of the bodies, the New Mexico Department of Public Health performed a health evaluation on the premises.

The investigation revealed that deceased rodents and their habitats were discovered in eight separate structures on the Hackman estate, transforming it into a potential breeding site for the hantavirus, according to TMZ.

Hantaviruses, which can be fatal, often get passed on when you encounter the urine or droppings of infected rodents, especially during cleaning activities in areas like basements or attics.

There were droppings found in three garages, two casitas, and three sheds on the property.

Moreover, three additional garages on the premises contained a living rodent, a deceased rodent, and a rodent’s home, as reported by the inspectors.

Additionally, not one but two vehicles were spotted on the property showing signs of rodents. Interestingly, there were also traps discovered within the structures, indicating that the Hackmans had likely been dealing with this persistent rodent problem for some time.

The examination was carried out to determine if the first responders or anyone else on the premises were free from contracting the virus.
