Today, one of these two remaining teams will play their last match in the Kickoff and advance to the Lower bracket final, while the other will be eliminated. Match Preview
Today, Talon Esports faces off against Gen.G Esports in the lower bracket finale. The outcome of this matchup will decide the future participation of one team, either advancing them further or eliminating them from the tournament.
In their first match, Team Talon defeated Global Esports, but later lost to T1 Esports in the following series. During this series, BuZz racked up an impressive 52 kills and boasted a 1.75 ADR, significantly separating the teams in the competition. However, for Talon Esports, the tournament didn’t end there. They descended into the lower bracket, where they managed to hold their ground against Nongshim RedForce in a fierce battle.
This positions them for a clash with Gen.G in the lower part of the tournament bracket, a team that’s faced some challenges during this event. They initially lost to DRX in the upper bracket but bounced back with a win against Detonation FM, securing their spot in the semifinals. The team’s playstyle ensures that several players can excel, and it doesn’t rely on one individual to carry the team’s performance.
In the past few months, Gen.G hasn’t made any significant changes to its roster, but it did bring on Foxy9, Munchkin, and yoman last October. With the newfound strength and expertise they’ve brought, we’ll be eagerly watching to see if Gen.G advances deeper in this competition.
