Gemma Collins had a slightly embarrassing wardrobe issue while wearing her unique outfit at the Cheltenham races on Thursday.
A video posted online shows Gemma’s satin skirt covered in mud and rain after being caught in bad weather.
Luckily, she quickly received some assistant by two gentleman beside her who were on hand to help.
Gemma and reality TV star Georgia Toffolo spent time together later that day, staying cozy in the private viewing boxes.
I was at lunch with Gemma when she just completely lost it – in the best way! She’d just won twenty thousand pounds and shouted, ‘I’m absolutely loaded!’ We were all in hysterics. She followed it up by saying she was ‘coming home with 20 large ones,’ and honestly, the whole room was crying with laughter. It was a moment I’ll never forget!
She won a large sum of money on the third day of the races, including £5,000 from a single £500 bet.
The 45-year-old reality star excitedly celebrated when her horse, Meetmebythesea, won the 2:00 PM race, despite being a long shot at 9 to 1 odds.
The former TOWIE star shared a video on Instagram at the end of the day, playfully fanning herself with a stack of cash while Britney Spears’ song “Work Bh” played in the background.
I had an amazing day! I feel so lucky, especially with the help from Paddy Power. My horse picks were spot on today – I really nailed it! ☘️☘️
Gemma made a grand entrance, arriving by helicopter alongside other celebrities. She caught everyone’s eye with her stylish outfit: a plaid coat featuring cozy brown fur on the sleeves and a silky headscarf.
She wore pink gloves and carried a large Mulberry Bayswater bag – and wore sunglasses, of course.
Gemma participated in the All Stars edition of ‘I’m A Celebrity,’ which was filmed in South Africa last year. She says completing the challenging and scary trials made her feel like Lara Croft.
After more than ten years of struggling with the fallout from a public on-set breakdown in Australia – and leaving the show just three days later due to her anxieties – she feels she’s finally overcome those challenges and proven her capabilities.
Gemma discussed her desire to put her 2014 experience – when she became a viral meme – behind her. At the launch of ‘I’m A Celeb All Stars’ on Monday, she explained, ‘The first time didn’t go as planned.’
Being asked to do it again felt like a lifelong burden had returned. I realized, now that I’m older, I needed to face this one last time, before anything else happened in my life. I had to return to that difficult place. It was something I always regretted not finishing, and completing it felt like a true redemption.
Honestly, when I went on the show pretending to be Gemma Collins, it was tough. The persona of ‘The GC’ is all about being confident and having fun, but it left me feeling really vulnerable because the last time I did it, it went terribly wrong.
Gemma said that even though she knew what the show with Ant and Dec would be like, the challenges turned out to be more difficult than when she first did it.
She nearly gave up before her flight, confessing that she might not have gone through with it if her makeup artist hadn’t encouraged her.
I was told I was going to a fancy cocktail party, so I wore a full silk dress. But when I arrived, it wasn’t what I expected at all. The producers said I’d be having drinks and mingling, like a welcome event, but it turned out to be something completely different.
‘It’s so surreal. Nothing can prepare you for what comes next. It was so much tougher than before.
I was incredibly nervous and scared. I was so overwhelmed at Heathrow airport that my makeup artist actually had to give me a light slap to snap me out of it, because I told her I didn’t think I could do it. Despite being terrified, I managed to calm down, take a deep breath, and face the situation with confidence.
Gemma anticipated that the difficult parts of the experience – the altitude, insects, demanding tasks, and basic living conditions – would be the hardest to handle. However, she found it surprisingly challenging to be without her two dishwashers.
The only real difficulty I had was all the dishes. I was on camp duty with Adam Thomas, and it was a really big camp – honestly, I have two dishwashers at home, so it was a lot!
Being at camp was a truly humbling experience. It forced me to confront challenges and rediscover what’s truly important. I faced hardships unlike anything I’d known before, and I carried the emotional weight of those struggles with me long after I left. It’s hard to put into words how much it hurt.
