Gemma Collins shared the happy news that her mother, Joan, has gotten better after spending five weeks in the hospital.
Last month, a 70-year-old woman was hospitalized at Broomfield Hospital in Essex after developing pneumonia.
Pneumonia is a lung infection that causes inflammation and fluid buildup in the small air sacs of your lungs, making breathing difficult.
Gemma, 44, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram Tuesday, expressing her gratitude for the care her mother received at Broomfield Hospital over the past five weeks. She thanked everyone, from the reception staff and tea lady to the physiotherapists, doctors, and nurses, calling her mother’s recovery an ‘Absolute MIRACLE.’ She also expressed her thanks to those who reached out with support, messages, and prayers.
I’m so touched by the kindness I’ve received – so many people have offered hugs and asked about my mother. I truly appreciate all of you more than words can say.
‘My Closest friends, people who cooked me dinner, the lovely Lambas it meant so much. GOD is GOOD’.

Gemma encouraged everyone to focus on spending time with family and friends this Christmas, rather than getting caught up in gifts or traditions. She emphasized that the people you share the holiday with are what truly matter.
The former TOWIE star shared a photo of Joan hugging Gemma’s fiance Rami Hawash’s son, Tristan.
They wrote: ‘Love this! Best news ever’ and ‘Beyond amazing news’;
‘Fantastic news. Continue to get stronger Joan sending love’.
Gemma shared that when her mother was hospitalized last month, it was the most difficult week she’d ever experienced.
The television personality asked fans to send their prayers as she feared the worst could happen.
Fortunately, Joan started to get better, and Gemma shared an update at the end of November, writing that seeing her mother slowly recover felt like a miracle thanks to the wonderful doctors and physical therapists at Broomfield Hospital. She expressed immense gratitude to them all.

Last year, Joan had a health scare when she stopped breathing and had to stay in intensive care.
Gemma told The Sun at the time: ‘I’ve had a lot of stress the last couple of weeks.
My mother was unexpectedly hospitalized, and doctors warned me her condition was life-threatening. They explained they wouldn’t attempt to revive her if her heart stopped.
I was unexpectedly hospitalized after going out to dinner, and it was a huge shock.
