On Monday evening, Gemma Atkinson playfully interacted with her partner from Strictly, Gorka Marquez, on the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards 2024.
At a London event held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, the 39-year-old radio host and former actress showcased her long legs in a striking black dress featuring a dramatic split along the thigh.
As they stood side by side, the duo showcased a lively performance, while Gemma captivated everyone in her daring dress.
She elevated her stature with sharp black pumps and carried a shiny handbag, striking numerous poses.
Gemma wore her blonde tresses slicked back and opted for a glowing and bronzed makeup look.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Pride of Britain Awards, and once again, Ashley Banjo and Carol Vorderman will take on the role as co-hosts.
At the event, Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks will be hosting the red carpet festivities, while GK Barry will provide online content from her personal bar.
Since 1999, this ceremony has been held to recognize exceptional individuals from various backgrounds throughout the United Kingdom, who have achieved great things. These outstanding figures are nominated by the general public.
Once a list of potential winners has been compiled from the numerous submissions, the Pride of Britain selection committee makes their choices.
Before the event commenced, The King and Prime Minister Keir Starmer paid homage to the country’s unrecognized heroes.
The King referred to them as the “cream of the crop” among us, while Sir Keir described them as a representation of all that is outstanding and admirable in Great Britain.
King Charles’ words were included in a letter to King’s Trust Young Achiever winner Molly Leonard, whose grandmother shed tears of pride as she read it to her.
Apart from expressing my admiration for Molly, he also conveyed his warm appreciation to this year’s Pride of Britain Award winners on their 25th anniversary. Each one of you embodies the finest aspects of our society.
The Prime Minister told the winners: ‘Britain is proud of you’.
Over the past 25 years, the Pride of Britain Awards have honored individuals who truly exemplify the best qualities of Great Britain.
‘These are people from all walks of life, but they all have one thing in common. They’re heroes.
Although they don’t resemble the typical caped crusaders we often imagine, with their ordinary appearances, there is a unique quality about them that sets them apart. They possess qualities such as bravery, perseverance, kindness, empathy, and an indomitable spirit, which truly make them extraordinary.
