Geldof Daughters Marry Creative Men in Low-Key Weddings After Tragic Losses

Bob Geldof famously sang ‘to live in love is all there is; life without love is meaningless’.

It appears that his daughters followed his advice by getting settled and starting their own families with men whom their renowned father approved of.

As a lifestyle expert looking back on my journey, I, Bob Geldof, have experienced profound heartache alongside Fifi, Pixie, Peaches (my children with the late Paula Yates), and our adopted daughter Tiger-Lily. The unimaginable sorrow of losing both Paula in 2000 and dear Peaches 14 years later has left an indelible mark on our lives.

Originally hailing from one of Britain’s most renowned families, these siblings had been accustomed to living under public scrutiny. However, following a heartrending tragedy, they made a conscious decision to prioritize their family life over public attention, choosing to retreat from the glare of the spotlight.

More recently, there was news about Tiger-Lily, Bob’s youngest daughter who was born to Paula and the late Michael Hutchence. She unexpectedly married her longtime partner, Ben Archer, after two years together.

After the passing of his wife Paula, Bob reportedly attended the wedding, looking on with pride as he watched his last daughter get married, having previously tied the knot with French actress Jeanne Marine.

Instead of being extravagant like past Geldof weddings, this one had a quieter, subdued feel, emphasizing the desire of the Geldof women to step away from public attention.

The eldest of the Geldof brood, Fifi, 42, married sand sculptor Andrew Robertson in 2016.  

He identifies himself as both an ‘artist’ and a ‘street performer,’ and he heads up a group known as Dirtybeach, which constructs sand sculptures on shores to occasionally deliver playful messages about politics and the environment.

Previously, Andrew made an appearance on Shark Tank, donning a red Scottish tartan skirt (kilt), as he sought £100,000 in investment to manufacture trash-collecting robots.

In the final cut, they excluded his innovative concept, showcasing instead his offer of £22,000 for a temporary beach bar – an offer that the Dragons declined.

He shared with the investors that in 2007, he had been without a permanent home and held numerous jobs over time. This included working as an entertainer at Stringfellows, specifically as a lap-dancer. When asked about his professional background, he mentioned that initially, he was an engineer, but also once donned the Santa suit for a seasonal job.

2014 was also the year he made his proposal; it was the same year that he initiated his journey towards a political career. He reached out to the Electoral Commission, expressing interest in establishing his own political party by registering it.

He released a declaration outlining the principles of his Beach Party, encompassing proposals such as decriminalizing drugs, offering complimentary meals, transportation, education at any stage in life, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or type of species.

He firmly believed that your family doctor should possess the authority to prescribe any medication required, including cannabis and mushrooms, without charge, under such circumstances as you find yourself in, seven weeks following the tragic death of Fifi’s sister Peaches due to a heroin overdose at 25 years old.

Despite a brief stint in politics, his political career ultimately didn’t last. There’s an inactive Twitter account associated with his political party that has 12 followers to show for it.

 In 2016, Andrew and Fifi tied the knot at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church in Kent. 

For Fifi, the venue carried a deep meaning because it’s the same church where both her sister Peaches, who tragically passed away from a drug overdose at age 25 in 2014, and her mother, Paula Yates, who also experienced a similar demise, are interred.

1986 saw Bob and Paula getting blessed in a church following their nuptials in Las Vegas, while it was Peaches who tied the knot with Thomas Cohen in that very same location in 2012.

Back in sun-kissed May of 2014, I gleefully shared the delightful news of my engagement with the world, as whispers and speculation had been swirling about the blossoming relationship that had been thriving for approximately a year before our big moment arrived.

Originally, Fifi shared with Mail On Sunday in May that her wedding would be a quiet affair, quite different from the lavish event Peaches and her husband Thomas had five years ago.

She informed Charlotte Griffiths: ‘In contrast to my late dear sister’s wedding, there will be no magazine deal or photos of me wearing a white gown.’

34-year-old Bohemian fairy, Pixie, crossed paths with her spouse George Barnett, who shares her passion for music and fashion, via mutual acquaintances.

George, 37, is the drummer of band These New Puritans, while Pixie works as a DJ and model.

For five years, they were a couple, then they got married in 2017, on the edge of the private mountain village of Deia, amidst the gardens of a converted monastery.

After the conclusion of the event, approximately 150 attendees, including Daisy Lowe, Harry Styles, and Nick Grimshaw, moved toward the 70 tables that had been arranged outside. The evening then continued with a series of live musical performances.

In a small, private wedding attended by thirty people, the 28-year-old musician, who is pregnant with her first child from Ben, is said to have exchanged vows in East London.

Based on reports from The Sun, the pair who got together in 2023 are eagerly planning a wedding before the arrival of their first baby.

It’s said that the newly-married couple rented a restaurant on Columbia Road and extended invitations to their dearest loved ones and friends.

According to the source, Tiger Lily and Ben chose an elegant yet understated setting for their wedding last Saturday. They privately rented a restaurant on Columbia Road for approximately thirty attendees.

Tiger Lily was accompanied by her siblings, Pixie and Fifi, along with Bob. The gathering had a lively vibe, as even Tiger Lily’s godfather, the renowned musician Nick Cave, was on the guest list.

Tiger Lily and Ben were overjoyed as they celebrated their special occasion, limited only to their dearest companions. On a stunningly lovely day, following the heartfelt service, everyone gathered for a shared meal.

Last month, Tiger Lily’s spouse disclosed the exciting news of her pregnancy by posting a piece of artwork on Instagram that depicted her with a noticeable baby bump.

According to Woman’s Day magazine, Tiger Lily and Ben have been ‘inseparable’.

Last year, a source shared with the publication that I hold a deep affection for his family, and I appreciate their ordinary nature, which stands in stark contrast to my own family dynamics.

It seems their relationship is deepening significantly, with many people anticipating a marriage proposal could happen soon.

Over the past few years, Thomas (who is now a widower) has experienced a significant change in his personal style. He’s developed a fondness for dresses and bold makeup, giving him an alluring appearance.

Previously recognized for his affinity towards vintage tailoring and roomy jeans, this musician is currently seen predominantly wearing dresses, as showcased on his Instagram under the alias Sylph (meaning ‘air spirit’ or ‘fairy’) with the username בעל הבית, which translates to ‘Landlord’ in Arabic.

Since as early as 2018, he initially displayed his new appearance in a Berlin art gallery with a photo featuring him wearing an eye-catching orange dress with large sleeves, and since then, he’s consistently shared more stylish developments.

Under the new stage name Sylph, Thomas frequently posts pictures of his bold fashion statements, accompanied by inspirational messages about self-divinity and spirituality on social media platforms.
