Gavin & Stacey stars, Matthew Horne and Joanna Page, have reunited just in time for Christmas.
After famously playing Gavin Shipman and Stacey West – a partnership that ended with last year’s special episode – the actors are teaming up with Waitrose for a new holiday mini-series called How to Say It With Food.
Starting on Waitrose’s website and social media, new episodes featuring Horne and Page will be released every Tuesday and Friday until December 19th. Each episode will show them offering solutions to common Christmas food-related problems.

The first episode, “How to say “I love you” with our No. 1 Festive Turkey Pie,” is now available to watch, starting today, December 3rd.
The grocer says Jo and Mat believe almost any problem can be solved with great food, and they’re putting that to the test with Waitrose’s festive range – including their top-rated Turkey Pie, Golden Mince Pies with Limoncello, Hazelnut Creme Panettone, Party Polar Bao Buns, Mushroom & Port Wellington, and Nutcracker.

Page jokingly said, ‘You thought that was the end of us? Think again! It was so much fun being back, and I especially loved working with Mat and Waitrose on this new series. As a food lover, I really enjoyed creating everything from a comforting turkey pie to a fantastic mushroom Wellington – food is what makes the holidays special and brings people together.’
Horne shared that it was wonderful being back on set with Joanna, calling it a cherished Christmas tradition. While they’ve tackled many classic holiday challenges, he joked that good food always helps – if he doesn’t eat it all first! He added that, seriously, food is a great way to show you care during the holidays.

This Christmas, Waitrose is focusing on how food connects people and expresses affection. Their new ad campaign features humorous, relatable holiday moments designed to inspire customers to share the joy of food with loved ones. According to Emily Angliss, Waitrose’s Senior Social Marketing Manager, the popular couple Mathew and Joanna were ideal for the campaign, as they’re well-known and loved for embodying family, friendship, and the spirit of Christmas in the UK.
