Gavin and Stacey star’s play halted after head injury

As a seasoned gamer and a dedicated fan of both theatre and television, I must admit that this news about Mathew Horne’s mishap during The Tempest performance left me quite concerned. It’s always disheartening to see our favorite actors face unexpected hardships, especially when they are so close to wrapping up iconic roles like Gavin Shipman in the much-awaited Gavin & Stacey Christmas special.

During a theater performance, actor Mathew Horne from the popular show Gavin & Stacey sustained a head injury, causing the play to temporarily stop.

I, Luke Treadaway, am thrilling audiences right now with my portrayal of Trinculo in the classic play, The Tempest by the legendary bard himself, William Shakespeare, over at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, nestled in the heart of London’s vibrant West End.

On December 17th, just minutes into the performance, the actor accidentally hit his head on a stone, causing him to be removed from the stage. The show was temporarily paused for 15 minutes until Horne reappeared and they could resume with the play. (According to The Sun)

The event took place merely a few days prior to what could be the final episode of Gavin and Stacey airing on television screens on Christmas Day.

The much-awaited holiday special is set to continue the storyline from the Christmas episode that aired in 2019, which ended with a significant cliffhanger involving Smithy (James Corden) and Nessa (Ruth Jones), as she proposed to him.

During the final episode of “Strictly Come Dancing,” a trailer hinted at the possibility that Smithy might have accepted Nessa’s unexpected wedding proposal.

The clip features a drunken dance sequence as the protagonists celebrate Christmas at Pam and Mick’s.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but notice the intimate dance routine between Nessa and Smithy in the latest episode. The way they moved together has certainly sparked rumors among us viewers, with some suggesting they might be more than just friends – maybe even engaged or even married!

In the trailer, there’s a hint reminiscent of the well-known fishing excursion. Additionally, it shows Gavin, played by Horne, and Stacey, portrayed by Joanna Page, revisiting their early romantic moments as they chat on the phone while he’s at work, echoing back to when their relationship began.

Gavin & Stacey series 1-3 are available to stream on BBC iPlayer. The Gavin & Stacey 2024 Christmas Special will air on Christmas Day on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
