Gavin and Stacey star teases “ultimate emotional rollercoaster” finale
As a dedicated fan of Gavin and Stacey, I can confidently say that the anticipation for the final episode has been like waiting for Christmas as a child, only to find out Santa left his sleigh in the garage by mistake! Watching Larry Lamb on The One Show, it’s clear he and Joanna Page have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions after witnessing the finale. I can just imagine them sitting there, tissues in hand, trying to keep up with the emotional whirlwind that is the ultimate Gavin and Stacey episode.
Larry Lamb, a character from Gavin and Stacey, shared that viewing the last episode ever brought about some very strong emotions in him.
On “The One Show” with Stacey’s co-star Joanna Page on December 18th, the actor from Mick hinted that the long-awaited finale offers an “ultimate emotional journey through ups and downs.
After host Alex Jones expressed her admiration for the episode by saying it was “everything everybody wanted and more,” leaving her “in a mess,” Lamb responded: “[We] felt the same… utterly drained, completely exhausted [after watching it]. It was an absolute, ultimate emotional rollercoaster. You feel high, you feel low, you feel energized, you feel still.
Previously from EastEnders, this actor expressed appreciation for the scriptwriting of Ruth Jones and James Corden, stating: “It’s truly exceptional. It’s an astonishing piece of writing. Impressive. So intelligent.
She immediately dived into the script once she received it, eager to uncover the storyline. “It made me laugh, it made me cry,” she expressed.
The final installment of the popular sitcom will be broadcast on BBC One this Christmas Day, but the cast members have kept mum about its content. However, a sneak peek in the trailer offers some intriguing hints.
In the preview, it seems that Jones’ character Nessa and Corden’s character Smithy are engaging in a somewhat flirtatious dance, potentially hinting at his acceptance when she made her proposal during the dramatic finale of the 2019 holiday episode.
Long-standing enthusiasts might, at last, uncover the events surrounding Jason (Robert Wilfort) and Bryn’s (Rob Brydon) enigmatic fishing excursion, as it appears this hidden truth is set to be the focus of another family meeting.
