Gary Oldman’s Desert Stroll

On a laid-back note, Gary Oldman was spotted making his way around Palm Springs, California, for some everyday tasks on a typical Wednesday.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that the award-winning actor, at 66 years of age, donned a dusty blue garment adorned with a Palm Springs compass pattern, which he complemented with a pair of vibrant red chinos.

He finished off his ensemble with red Converse shoes, and protected himself from the sun using a straw hat and sunglasses.

Keeping a low profile, the actor quickly made his way to his car after finishing up his outing.

His outing comes just days after he praised his former co-star Demi Moore for her recent success.

In 1995, they acted side by side in the period romance film titled The Scarlet Letter, and just recently, approximately three decades later, they have rekindled their connection.

Gary shared with The Post on Sunday that he hasn’t kept in close contact, but he recently rekindled his relationship with Demi because they bumped into each other. He described her as an exceptional individual and emphasized that she’s truly unique and special.

He continued: ‘I couldn’t be happier for her in this moment with this film and this role.

‘I think it’s such a wonderful thing. And she’s loving it and really riding the wave.’

This year, Demi has stood out at numerous award ceremonies due to her outstanding portrayal of Elisabeth Sparkle in The Substance. Her exceptional acting skills have earned her both a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for Best Actress.

2025 saw Gary receiving a nomination at the Screen Actors Guild Awards for the category of Best Actor in a Drama Series, all thanks to his outstanding performance in the Apple TV+ suspenseful series, Slow Horses.

Yet, Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada emerged victorious with the award for his exceptional portrayal in the TV show, Shogun.

Last October it was announced that Gary’s hit series Slow Horses will return for a sixth series.

The announcement follows the acclaim, as viewers labeled its fourth season as the “top television show in Britain,” receiving a flawless rating on Rotten Tomatoes and setting new records on Apple TV.

As a devoted follower, I’m thrilled to share that our favorite streamer has unveiled plans for a new six-episode season. This time around, the Slow Horses find themselves on the run, ensnared in a deadly game of retribution and vengeance orchestrated by Diana Taverner.

Jay Hunt, Apple TV+’s creative director for Europe, expressed joyfully: ‘People worldwide have developed a deep affection for the Slow Horses series, and I’m thrilled that Gary Oldman will be guiding this talented ensemble through another sharp and thrilling journey.’

On September 4, Gary’s highly acclaimed show made its comeback with fresh episodes, setting numerous records and receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from critics.

The fast-paced, cleverly written spy drama revolves around a troubled group of MI5 operatives led by their infamous superior, Jackson Lamb, portrayed by Gary Oldman.

The latest show has earned a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, maintaining its impressive streak that started at 98% when it debuted in 2021.

With this recent success, Slow Horses has become Apple TV’s top-rated series to date. Both the first and third seasons received a remarkable 98%, while the second season boasted a perfect 100% rating.

Ever since its debut, Slow Horses has garnered widespread acclaim as “unquestionably one of the finest spy shows on TV” and is known for being both engagingly humorous and intriguingly mysterious.

I’m thrilled to share that back in January, I learned about the exciting news of the renewal for another season of the five-time BAFTA Award-nominated series we all love!

In the fifth season, everyone becomes wary when tech genius Roddy Ho acquires an alluring new companion, yet as a string of peculiar incidents unfold throughout the city, it becomes the Slow Horses’ task to unravel the mystery behind these events and understand their connection.

After all, Jackson Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, ‘London Rules’ should always apply.

Previously, Gary had nearly decided to retire from his long-standing acting career, just before he secured the prominent role of Jackson Lamb in the TV series.

On The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky on Virgin Radio, Gary suggested: “Lamb seems uncaring to the outside world, but there’s a possibility that he might care deeply than many others.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d say that person seems to be living with an eye towards the future, eagerly counting down the days until retirement. It appears he’s trying to cram as much as possible into his remaining working years, perhaps feeling like he’s treading water rather than making progress.

Just as many people might sometimes consider giving up and moving on, there’s a sense of addiction to our work that we share.

Slow Horses is available to stream now on Apple TV+.
