Gary Lineker’s Secret Wine Night with Ex Revealed

On Tuesday evening, it seemed that Gary Lineker and his former spouse Danielle Bux spent a comfortable night indoors, sharing a bottle of wine together.

As an overjoyed fan, I was thrilled to spend an unforgettable evening with Harry, the son of a legendary footballer, along with my pals Lucy Pinder and Ella Willis. Accompanied by Danielle, 45, we shared laughter and camaraderie as we played cards into the night, capturing those precious moments on my Instagram Story.

Snapping a shot of Gary chatting she penned: ‘When the game isn’t football…’

In 2016, the previous pair called it quits. Later, Danielle tied the knot with Nate Greenwald, a well-known American attorney in the entertainment industry, in 2019.

Since their split, they’ve continued to maintain a strong bond. The presenter, who is now 64, openly acknowledged that some people may view their friendship as somewhat peculiar.

Danielle’s husband wasn’t around during the evening, and he hasn’t appeared in any of her Instagram posts since last September.

TopMob have contacted her representatives for comment.

Previously, it was disclosed that the reason for their marital separation stemmed from Danielle’s wish to have more children.

In 2017, a Welsh actress gave birth to her seven-year-old daughter, Romy, following a romance that started between her and Nate in 2016.

After their friendly separation, it’s clear that Danielle and Gary have maintained a close relationship. They frequently communicate, exchanging texts at least three times a day, and even plan holidays together.

Danielle and I are extremely close friends, we usually chat three times daily, and we constantly message each other, as stated to The Mirror earlier. When she visits London, she often stays at my place, and when I travel to Los Angeles, I frequently meet up with her.

Previously, it was evident that Gary was the most amicable of ex-partners with Danielle as he opted for a private dinner instead of attending the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year event in December, which was hosted by Match Of The Day.

On a night out, they dined at Dorian Restaurant in Notting Hill alongside Danielle, as Daniel’s coworkers attended an awards ceremony in MediaCityUK, Salford.

On the 2nd of September, 2009, Gary and Danielle exchanged their vows in Ravello, Italy. However, after seven years, they chose to part ways.

In a recent disclosure, the ex-footballer shared that their separation occurred due to differences regarding having children, as she expressed a wish for them while he was content with his four sons – George (34), Harry (31), Tobias (29), and Angus (27) – from his earlier marriage with Michelle Cockayne, whom he married in 1986.

Danielle’s older daughter, Ella (age 22), from a past relationship, has rejoined their family for regular Christmas celebrations following their separation.

Earlier, Gary informed The Times: “I certainly would have joined her, but she mentioned, ‘It wouldn’t be right for you.’ I then replied, ‘I’d really hate to prevent you from doing it.’

On the podcast “The Mid-Point,” Gary clarified that it was solely because of their shared love for kids.

She previously had a daughter, while I had four sons, but later, she felt an increasing biological need or impulse.

Ultimately, we opted for remaining friends instead, he explained further, expressing his desire to let her explore the possibility of finding someone else who shared the interest in starting a family.

She asked me not to do something I wasn’t particularly keen on, and I didn’t feel right denying her the chance to do what she truly desired. So, in the end, we simply agreed to part ways amicably.
