Garth Brooks’ rape accuser submits ‘explicit’ texts into evidence and slams singer for naming her

As a seasoned journalist with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of celebrity scandals and lawsuits. Yet, this one leaves me utterly astounded, even for Hollywood standards. I’ve always admired Garth Brooks for his humble beginnings, his meteoric rise to fame, and the philanthropic work he’s done throughout his career.

The individual who accused Garth Brooks has disclosed a sexually suggestive text message that he is said to have sent her. This was done amidst her criticism of the country artist for publicly identifying her in his counterclaim.

62-year-old Brooks has been charged with sexual assault and battery, according to a report filed on Thursday by a makeup artist who worked for his spouse, Trisha Yearwood, aged 60. She chose to remain anonymous, identifying herself in the complaint as ‘Jane Roe.’

As part of her lawsuit she included an alleged screenshot of text messages between the pair.

In the redacted text presented in the lawsuit, it is claimed that the plaintiff wrote something like, “That massive walking stick of yours, Roosevelt!” according to In Touch.

Brooks reportedly responded with a chuckle and heart emojis, saying, “I’ll go with that nickname. Thanks! I love you.

As a diligent adherent to the facts, I’m sharing an account from the court documents stating that allegedly, Brooks employed multiple phones and occasionally used distinct names and email addresses for communicating with Ms. Roe. He would inform Ms. Roe prior to sending communications under a different identity.

According to the plaintiff’s court documents, it is further alleged that Brooks prompted or urged Ms. Roe to communicate with him in a sexually suggestive way, as indicated by the conversation seen in the provided text message transcript.

In the lawsuit, it states that Garth repeatedly sent Jane suggestive and sexually inappropriate texts, attempting to persuade her to participate in sending explicit messages back to him.

Moreover, she asserts that despite Brooks believing he erased ‘all data from Ms. Roe’s phone’, it appears some of their supposed messages are still present on her device.

Previously, the artist known for singing “Friends in Low Places” had disputed the allegations made against him in a court case filed as ‘John Doe’ in Mississippi during mid-September. His intention seemed to be to prevent those accusations from being heard, until he himself later brought a lawsuit against the same person.

Currently, lawyers representing the plaintiff from Wigdor LLP have made a declaration to DailyMail.com, expressing that the plaintiff named the accuser out of malice or ill-will.

Garth Brooks recently exposed his real character in a harmful manner. In an act of vengeance, he publicly identified a survivor of sexual assault without any legal basis. Brooks chose to reveal her identity because he believes himself above the law.

The statement indicates that, acting on behalf of our client, we are initiating the process for imposing the strictest penalties against him right away.

The attorneys, Douglas H. Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen, and Hayley Baker stated their intention to submit a motion that aims to restore Jane Roe to her previous position.

Yesterday, I found myself vigorously defending myself against allegations of sexual assault and battery during a live interaction with my supporters over the stream.

He mentioned during the TalkShopLive’s Inside Studio G chat that a significant amount of events have transpired over the past fortnight, hinting at the accusations brought against him.

He went on, apparently alluding to an imminent court case, and stated, “This event is about to start, and some are predicting it might last for up to two years. I understand.

During the livestream, Brooks invited his audience to “slow down, find a comfortable spot, and let’s embark on this journey hand-in-hand.

He indicated that he wouldn’t have much to say about the lawsuit, which he said could take two years to play out in court, adding, ‘It is something that we cannot talk about. That’s all we can say about it.’

Earlier this week Brooks denied the rape accusations, calling it a ‘hush money’ shakedown.

He responded to the accusations in a statement to DailyMail.com: ‘For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars.’

Regardless of the amount, a payment intended to keep something quiet is always a form of ‘silencing funds.’ To me, this implies acknowledging actions I can’t fathom committing – despicable deeds that no one in their right mind should inflict upon another person. This was his additional comment.

He added: ‘We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides.’

Brooks said the situation ‘has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face.’

He added, ‘I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds going forward. It breaks my heart these wonderful things are in question now. I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be.’

Just last week, a source informed Us Weekly that Brooks’ family, which includes his spouse and their three kids, firmly believe in his innocence.

In September, the singer submitted an anonymous counterclaim as a precautionary measure in a federal court in Mississippi. However, it was his accuser who filed her lawsuit in California on October 3.

According to what he stated in his document, the lawsuit was initiated following receipt of a legal demand from the lawyer representing Roe.

In her legal action, an unidentified woman claimed that Brooks created a work environment with sexual overtones before the alleged incident of rape in 2019.

In the year 2019, I found myself grappling with significant financial hardships. At that time, he allegedly exploited my vulnerable position by soliciting inappropriate favors from me.

On one instance, Roe claimed that Brooks appeared before her in a state of undress from a shower, accompanied by an unwelcome arousal. She alleged that he compelled her to touch him, expressing his desire for the situation and requesting she engage in a sexual act with him.

She asserted that the situation became more serious in May 2019, after he requested she join him in Los Angeles for a Grammy Awards tribute to Sam Moore. According to her, he reserved a one-bedroom hotel suite and denied her personal accommodations.

During their journey together, she claimed that Brooks had violently raped her. Subsequently, he sent her suggestive texts and urged her to reciprocate with explicit messages.

The woman further asserted that he bragged about having intimate relations with numerous women in various parts of a hotel room, regardless of their race – white, black, or brown. He claimed this on every available surface.

According to the lawsuit, she asserted that Brooks frequently discussed the possibility of a three-way encounter involving Yearwood and Roe. Moreover, it is alleged that he inappropriately exposed himself to her and repeatedly touched her body, including her breasts on numerous occasions.

Remarkably, Roe asserted that Yearwood apparently overheard his proposal of a threesome on at least one instance, and she claimed that during one rather explicit discussion, Brooks’ wife was present. Brooks suggested creating a shampoo bottle that could also function as a vibrator in this conversation.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: During our chat, a situation unfolded that left me feeling distinctly uneasy, prompting me to step back from the discussion. This action seemed to infuriate Brooks to such an extent that he violently pounded his fists on the kitchen counter, causing objects to shift, and he aggressively leaned towards me, delivering a menacing tone in our subsequent interaction.

Roe’s lawyers alleged that instead of genuinely engaging in discussions for a settlement, Brooks falsely suggested such talks while exploiting her accusation of sexual assault to initiate a preemptive lawsuit of his own.

In the legal dispute involving the nationally renowned singer, he asserted that Roe encountered financial struggles after moving to Mississippi.

I claimed that she sought my monetary aid, an assertion I upheld by stating I had given it. However, Ms. Brooks stated that her requests for financial support escalated, culminating in me requesting a salary from her and offering medical benefits as part of the employment deal.

Brooks denied the accusations, stating that they were unfounded and baseless, supposedly involving alleged instances of sexual misconduct from years past.

On July 17th, an attorney representing Roe submitted a letter to Brooks, asserting various claims of inappropriate sexual behavior. These accusations span from alleged acts of ‘grooming’ for sexual purposes, establishing a sexually uncomfortable work atmosphere, unwanted sexual advances, and instances of sexual abuse.

In his legal case, Brooks asserted that Roe had accused him of intending to hire an individual to commit murder against herself. However, this accusation was not part of the claims made in Roe’s own lawsuit.

Brooks asserted that the demand letter represented the initial instance where he encountered the accusations directed towards him.

He stated that the letter threatened to ‘publicly file’ a civil complaint — the draft of which was included — unless he ‘agreed to pay… millions of dollars.’

According to his lawsuit, the letter discusses numerous cases involving celebrities being accused of sexual misconduct, which resulted in substantial financial penalties decided by juries.

In a subsequent letter penned on August 23, 2024, Brook’s submission states that Roe proposed to halt the public filing of her baseless and disparaging lawsuit… in return for a substantial monetary compensation.

He asserted: “If [Brooks] didn’t fulfill this requirement, it was implied that he would be compelled to disclose a significant amount of money, estimated from his total assets.

With a record-breaking sales figure of close to 150 million albums as the highest-selling solo artist recognized by the Recording Industry Association of America, this country music sensation behind the hit song “Friends in Low Places” boasts an estimated net worth ranging from $300 million to $350 million.

At certain points, he was the highest-earning celebrity globally. From June 2017 to June 2018, his earnings totaled an impressive $45 million. However, in the corresponding period of 2019 (the year the allegation of rape by Roe took place), his income was reportedly $25 million.

Together, Brooks and his wife Trisha, who is a successful country singer, boast a combined net worth of approximately $400 million due to her personal wealth.

For the past 21 years, Yearwood (aged 60) and Brooks have owned properties not only in Tulsa, Oklahoma but also in Nashville, Tennessee, and Malibu, California.

On Thursday evening, I finally found my voice to address the troubling accusations made against me by a makeup artist I’ve known for over two decades regarding rape and battery. However, just hours prior, I had released a firm legal statement denying these allegations.

After performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Brooks shared with fans that he truly felt he had a necessary experience.

Tonight, when I shared an image of the massive crowd that cheered me on, I expressed my gratitude by saying, “Tonight, more than any other, I felt the need for this outpouring of support. Thank you for being a part of my journey! With love, g.
