Sources say Gareth Gates is very upset with his former partner, Katie Price, because she talked about him while performing on stage with Kerry Katona.
The 47-year-old former model, Katie, continued her An Evening With tour. When the conversation turned to Gareth, 41, she quickly didn’t hesitate to criticize the singer.
As reported by the Telegraph & Argus, Katie reportedly exclaimed, ‘F Gareth Gates,’ after being heckled about their relationship while on stage.
Katie and Gareth had a brief fling in 2003 when he was just 17 and she was six months pregnant.
Gareth, a singer who rose to fame on Pop Idol and is currently dating West End performer Allana Taylor, was reportedly ‘shocked’ that Katie mentioned him during a performance.
According to The Sun, a source said, ‘Gareth was very angry after seeing all the reports last week where Katie talked about him.’
He understands that Katie might mention him whenever she performs, and it’s consistently upsetting. It never becomes any simpler to deal with.
He’s moved on with his life some time ago, and he genuinely hopes Katie will do the same – instead of constantly using his name to get attention in the news. It’s truly his greatest disappointment.

At first, Gareth didn’t admit to his short relationship with Katie. He was worried it would damage his career at the time.
He eventually confessed the truth in 2014 while on The Big Reunion, explaining: ‘I initially denied everything about Jordan because I was only 17 and didn’t want my family to learn about my personal life.’
If I had told the truth, things wouldn’t have become such a big issue. My family, friends, and fans wouldn’t have been as disappointed, I suppose.
He explained: ‘I was quite young at the time. I told her I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so she shared the story with the press, and I claimed it wasn’t true. It was a difficult situation.’
Honestly, my first instinct was to just pretend it never happened. I kept it all to myself – didn’t confide in anyone, not even my closest friends or family. And you know what? They completely supported me in that decision. It was a really isolating experience, but they were there for me in their own way, simply by accepting what I wanted to do. I think sometimes, keeping things private is the best way to navigate difficult situations.
This happened after Katie discussed their short-lived romance on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, a chat show hosted by Piers Morgan, back in 2009. She reflected on their brief fling during the interview.
She shared with the broadcaster: ‘Looking back now, it’s really unpleasant and upsetting. It was a difficult time – I was young, expecting a baby, didn’t have support from the father, and I desperately wanted affection. I realize now it was a mistake.’
But in a further jab at Gareth, she also claimed in her 2021 book, Harvey and Me, that she was responsible for starting his pop music career.
I was just looking through some old photos from when she was pregnant, and she shared something that really struck me. She said, ‘I should have thought, “Katie, put it away. You’re pregnant – no one wants you.”‘ It’s so raw and honest, and it really shows how she felt at the time. It’s a powerful reminder of the pressures she faced, even then. I’ll never look at those photos the same way again.
However, let’s not forget Gareth Gates! He was interested in Katie Price – even when I was six months pregnant.

While they were casually dating, both Katie and Gareth claimed they weren’t in a serious relationship. Nevertheless, she was shocked and hurt when the singer ended things with her through a text message, leaving her feeling devastated.
She explained that she was already feeling down and didn’t need further setbacks. She had been there for him during a crucial period, and then he unexpectedly ended the relationship.
He used to say that when he finally signed his record contract, we could start being public about us… However, by the time the deal was finalized, our relationship had already ended.
