Garcelle Beauvais reveals her son Jax, 16, decided not to appear on season 14 of RHOBH following racist cyberbullying

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I wholeheartedly commend Garcelle Beauvais for her unwavering dedication to protecting her children from the harsh realities of cyberbullying and public scrutiny. The fact that she has managed to maintain her composure amidst such adversity is a testament to her strength and resilience as a mother.

Garçelle Beauvais disclosed that her sixteen-year-old son, Jax, won’t feature in the current season of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills due to the traumatic experience of cyberbullying he faced approximately two years back.

On the Pop Culture Moms podcast, Garcelle, aged 57, disclosed that her son chose not to be part of the cast for season 14 of the show.

In the year 2022, Jax encountered intense online harassment, often racially charged and abusive, following a disagreement involving his mother with some of her fellow actors, which sparked a wave of internet trolls targeting him with mean-spirited comments.

Just prior to the current season, Jax told me, “Mom, I’ve had enough. It was too draining for me.” I understood his feelings, and as a result, he won’t be featured in this season at all, as she clarified.

Instead of making him do it, when he expressed his feelings, I replied, “I appreciate your stance, and you have the freedom not to.”

Additionally, in 2021, Erika Jayne from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hurled insults at Jax during his mother’s birthday celebration, adding to the cyberbullying he was already experiencing.

Erika subsequently apologized ‘from the bottom of my heart’ to Jax for her actions.

Garcelle clarified that one of the difficult aspects was that the drama her children encountered wasn’t something they had anticipated.

Previously watching the program, I often felt as though the children were taking a backseat. They were present at home, but not exposed to any negativity. So, I thought to myself, “We can make a change.” And when Jax experienced that, it truly astounded me because no one deserves such treatment. She added, “No child deserves such treatment.”

However, my assumption was that he was taking these actions due to our bond and our family ties. It also happened to be his inaugural week at high school.

She described that period as truly abhorrent, for he had to endure such an appalling sight. Indeed, it was a dreadful experience, she added.

However, Beauvais turned to Teresa Giudice, another Real Housewives star, for comfort during this period, stating that Giudice provided her with genuine support as she faced online harassment.

In our recent conversation, it was clear that they were taken aback by Bravo’s public statement. Typically, they’ve steered clear of involving children in such matters. And rightly so, as they expressed, “children are off-limits,” a stance I wholeheartedly support.

Absolutely, Bravo issued a statement addressing the controversy, asking viewers to avoid harmful speech directed towards the cast and their loved ones, instead opting for respectful dialogue.

The network expressed dismay and disgust over the inappropriate remarks made about Garcelle’s son on social media. They kindly ask their audience and online followers to avoid making hurtful comments towards the show’s cast members and their loved ones.

At that moment, Beauvais defended Jax against online bullies, urging fans to respect his privacy regarding his kids.

‘I am generally a very tough woman, having been brought up to be resilient and strong. Life has taught me to stand firm, but when it comes to my children, I feel pain; it’s not right. Last night, I wept profusely over a mere TV show. While people might shout at the screen or even throw things at it, let us keep our kids out of harm’s way.’

Besides other Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members, Lisa Rinna also denounced the offensive remarks, expressing her disdain by labeling them “distasteful” and advocating that children should not be subjects of such comments.

Beauvais co-parents Jax and his twin sibling, Jaid, with her former spouse Mike Nilon. Additionally, she is the mother of a 32-year-old child named Oliver, who was born to her ex, Daniel Saunders.
