If eBay’s board rejects the offer, GameStop’s Ryan Cohen is prepared to take the bid directly to eBay shareholders. Cohen also plans to cut costs by $2 billion within the first year after the acquisition, focusing on areas like sales, product development, and administration.

The success of this offer depends heavily on a major change to how GameStop operates its stores. The plan would quickly turn around 1,600 GameStop locations across the US, shifting them from typical retail stores into centers for receiving, checking, and shipping goods.
