Gameloft has revealed that the strategy game “March of Empires” is transitioning to a tabletop version, christened as “March of Empires: Era of Conflict.” This new iteration will be backed by a fresh Kickstarter campaign. The development work is being carried out by Glass Cannon Unplugged, a team renowned for transforming video games into board games such as “Frostpunk: The Board Game,” “Apex Legends: The Board Game” and others.

If you’re not already familiar, “March of Empires” is a dynamic real-time strategy game set in the medieval era, classified as an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online). In this game, you get to pick your faction, construct your own kingdom, fight off barbarians, and seize territories to alter the power dynamics. The game revolves around strategic warfare, global alliances, territorial control, and a host of other engaging elements.
