Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams spotted in sixth grade class photo from 1948, is a time traveler confirmed
As a seasoned film enthusiast who’s been around the block a few times, I can confidently say that while Maisie Williams is undoubtedly a talented actress, she’s not a time traveler (at least to my knowledge). However, the Internet has a peculiar knack for stirring up intriguing speculations, and this one about her being a time-hopping starlet is no exception.
Let’s have a fun imagination exercise for your Tuesday – could Maisie Williams, known for her role as Arya Stark, the ruthless avenger on Game of Thrones, be a time traveler? Now, you might dismiss that idea immediately. However, consider this: there exists a sixth-grade class photo from 1948 in Oakland, California, where one student bears a striking resemblance to Williams if you squint your eyes just a bit.

What about now? WHAT ABOUT NOW? See how foolish you look.
Originally, this image circulated on Reddit a couple of years ago. Despite the joking speculation, I personally don’t notice much similarity between Williams and the girl in the picture. However, with the photo resurfacing recently, I thought it was worth sharing here. So, is this an unrelated girl or evidence that Maisie Williams somehow went back in time when she was younger? If it’s the latter, why did she go back? Was there a unique resource only found in Oakland during the late 1940s that she brought with her? Unfortunately, she hasn’t shared any details about it.
Refocusing the conversation once more from jest, Maisie Williams has thrived since Game of Thrones concluded in 2019, featuring in productions like Pistol and The New Look. There’s a chance she might reprise her role as Arya Stark at some point. The creator of Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin, has dropped hints about discussing a confidential project with Williams. Could fans be dreaming for a potential Arya-centric series or film? Given Arya’s ambiguous ending on Game of Thrones, she would undeniably make an excellent starting point if HBO were to develop a sequel.
If she’s free during her travels through time (her trips to the past), one might think she could simply jump back a few minutes before the scheduled call time on set. Perhaps a movie should be made about her actual life, as it seems quite extraordinary.
